I've read many stories over the past few days from different Draconis Combine units, but felt compelled to add the unit I was privileged to head.

I headed the Draconis Combine at the outset of NBT-IV. Our unit, and there are others I know would agree, was one of the greatest of all time. In NBT-IV league play we rarely lost. If I rememeber correctly we had fought in over 30 planetary assaults, never losing one. At one point, we managed to cut Clan Ghost Bear in half, literally. Thus preventing any logistical resupply of 20 CGB planets bordering the FRR and DC. After a little over one year of league activity, we were removed from the league. Many claimed we were too good, some stated we were flat out cheating. While the rumors were unfounded, our cockiness is likely what led to our downfall. Later on we continued to play on as mercenaries. Filling out drop slots for units struggling to find that seventh or eighth member. We moved on to DHx and later to IHx. Most of our unit continued to play in other leagues and NBT Hardcore, but overtime we lost touch as other interests and real life got in the way.

I look forward to the return of Mechwarrior and the dragon rising once more. Hopefully I'll see many of my missing comrades:

DCxIceman
DCxMaverick
DCxDeathscythehell
DCxWarbird
DCxFlossme
DCxRoguehunter

Those within DCx knew me as DCxJMcGuinness. I later took on the name DCxTheodore_Kurita, being the Coordinator of Combine.

Greetings all, I first starting playing BT in the 80's and moved on to MW-MW2,3,4 and i didnt get to play any of the on-line games do to moving around alot in the USAF. I love playing that crazy recon screaming through the front lines or the fire support in the back raining down the LRMs, I have always loved the traditions and honor of house Kurita.

Hey all -

I used to be Elvis with the Tooth of Y'mir on Solaris/MPBT 3025. I wanted to come back into the building, but someone stole my name already...

Anyway, good to see some familiar names after all these years.

Hey Elvis, good to see you are back. I sent out emails on the 9thSD emailer but I'm guessing your email is out dated like most. I enjoyed dropping with you, hope to do so again soon. ^_^

Hi guys! I'm...actually brand spanking new to the online Mech-universe, I played all the games attached to Mechwarrior 2, 3, and 4, as well as the console games and have been ADDICTED to the novels for yonks now. I think I fell in love with House Kurita like...the very first novel I EVER read, and I've been a dragon girl since then.

So...yeah! Hi! ^_^

Hello my fellow Mechwarriors! I have been in love with BTech since the first time I watched the cartoon. Played the tabletop game and all of the PC games. I served HK in MW3 on zone. In my MW3 days I was a lance commander. Went by the name of Kael_Oni. So glad to see Mechwarrior coming back!

Hello. Some of you may remember me from BT:Solaris, 3025, and ISW. Those of you from ISW will remember me fondly, or hate my guts. There never seemed to be a middle ground there, lol. I am hoping those that knew me in ISW and didn't like me are willing to move forward peacefully and politely. Those that remembered me fondly, I look forwar to rekindling old friendships!

I was never a part of House Kurita during those games, but I did have many, many friends in House Kurita.

In BT:Solaris, I was Gauss. (1997 I think is when I started playing, but I could be wrong) I was a part of House Davion at the time... They were the first to talk to me in the New Player area, lol. I began as a recruit with the Anjin Aces. (Anjin Muerto CMM). I eventually got promoted to Lance Leader, then CCO, BCO, Training Officer, then RCO. I was the RCO of the unit until BT:Solaris died.

In 3025, I joined House Steiner as a member of House of Shadows, again as Gauss. Since 3025 didn't last long, I didn't promote anywhere.

When that fell flat on it's face, I joined House Steiner again in ISW, also as Gauss. Started helping with some of the game design (not coding). Eventually got promoted out of necessity to the House Staff. Then Chief of Logistics. Had a falling out with the House Leadership (I was fine with the original House leadership group, but not the one who took over after that). When I left House Steiner, I wass offered a job in House Kurita, but I wanted to initially have more of an impact on the game, so I joined the ComStar group. Became the Demi-Precentor of that, and things went downhill pretty quickly due to some development issues. As ComStar, I also held the name Gandalv. I needed some time away from ISW, and took a bit of a hiatus when it started having it's major problems. And by the time I came back, it was in flames.

Found out about this game from my EVE Online friends, and came here thinking I would finally join House Kurita. And I am back as Gauss. Nice to know that I still get to keep my name after 15 years.

And I am not surprised to see several of the people I considered to be friends are here as well!

TC - Hello, my friend! Long time no see! Hoping to catch up on old times and make some new memories in this game fighting side by side for once! How's Hannibal doing? I haven't talked to him in a while, but wanted to say here that I am fulfilling my promise to server with/under him in House Kurita after leaving ISW's ComStar.
Hello, Paladin. You may or may not remember me. We didn't always meet eye to eye in ISW, but you and I got along better than you and Dietrich, so I am content to see you again.

I also remember Hawkcrest, Nitehawk, and several others who have posted here so far. Glad to see that you're still looking forward to an Online MW Game, and look forward to fighting with or against you again.

Hey there Gauss, your name is familar but I remember you as Steiner. Though I'm not sure about your reference, Dietrich and I were actually pretty good friends, even when I was not in Steiner. Perhaps you mean Von Richtor...we didn't get along

Ah yeah. That's right... I remember now, and yes, I was Steiner. I helped you and Dietrich come up with some of the Jump Paths. Now I can't remember who Dietrich's beef was with, but it's old water under an even older bridge, lol. How have you been? I've retired from Davion and Steiner with no intentions of returning to either House except as a conquerer of their worlds. I was offered a job with House Kurita by Hann and a few others even before I left House Steiner in ISW, so I decided to take them up on the opportunity here. Had things worked out differently in MPBT, I probably would have joined Kurita back then, instead of Davion.

I'm looking forward to playing with friends again.

Hmm stil think you have me confused with someone. I havent been in Steiner since early MPBT:Solaris. When I did the jump paths for Kurita I didn't do them with Dietrich or any member of Steiner, I did those on my own. At least the ones on the Steiner border, though Goliath helped me with PMDs I believe.

But in any case, good to have you on our team. But I keep a special eye on ex-Steiners, old Rasalhague habit

Howdy Gauss, K-wa <B>

Good to see ya made it in bro. Hannibal has made an appearance, and he and I stay in contact via facebook. I feel this venue has great potential and look forward to it. Although my mech skills are not what they once were, being inside a mech with crosshairs on my opponent still is my favorite place to be.

Wasup guys!

The only experience I have in this world is MechWarriors 2-4 but still love the game and am glad to see it finely getting a reboot.
I knew they couldn't just leave it lying around forever!

Paladin - Nope, not confusing you with anyone. You, Dietrich, and I worked out the border worlds jump points along the Steiner/Kurita border. Dietrich and you did most of the talking via email or however you two communicated, LOL. We had to limit the number of jump paths from each planet and it didn't take long to get it figured out. But I definitely remember working with you. You're one of those people I wouldn't forget.

Hello there, TC. Glad to hear Hann made it. Hopefully I'll get to see him here too. I also registered on the HK forums, so maybe I'll see him there too. (BTW, nice job on that site, Paladin). I am looking forward to this game. It definitely has a lot more potential than what has come before.
