I make more money jumping in a trial. This doesn't seem right.
So..I paid to buy a mech, which wasn't worth it. Seems like Economics 101 there

Aslo the Mad Dog mech and the Shadow Cat mech the big mechs are nice but i am a meduim mech runner and the shadow cat mech was low to the ground but offered moderate armor could take a pounding and had a ton of different options to arm it was under 65 tons
just trying to help you guys make your game as great as all the previous version are
Will the Timber Wolf Mech ever be coming back and will the Shadow Cat
from *MechWarrior
4*: Vengeance These to mech classes were very popular during the kick off
of the game and just be cool to have some original mechs back in the game
i would pay for these

Right now the main hold up for me is the current pricing. I know I'm already getting this awesome game for free, but my logical side doesn't exactly overpower my emotions when I look at the current cost of real money versus what options I'm getting. The Yen-Lo-Wang for example...Over $15.00 is way too high for just a variant with a new skin and a paint job.
Just from my own personal experience, I get suckered in with micro transactions. I won't go out and spend $15 on one new character, but I will spend $5 each for 15 new characters.

2. Custom Decals ($1-$5)
3. Game time, average of $5 per month for premium (its currently way to expensive)
4. The right kind of hero mech, assuming they are not OP and the price is right. A mech should never be more then $10
5. I'd straight drop $5 bucks a month for servers located in Australia
I'd remind those in charge of monetisation that the cheaper everything is the more tempting purchases will be to more people. It's alot easier to justify 1-5 bucks then it is 10+.

- Anything supporting an ALTERNATE TIMELINE, wherein Clans attack from a different direction and are maybe beaten, and the IS house battles significantly shift power from canon.
- The ability to set up a periphery state. Not just hold it as a merc corp, but build it up.
- Game mechanics allowing for mercinary groups to betray their contracts for strategy and profit, and for periphery pirate groups to exist.
- Better Jumpship capabilities to strike more deeply/escape than would be expected.
Gameplay:
- Good collision handling, Death From Above, Knockdown
- MELEE. I would pay to see this implemented well. Note that for me, this includes potentially being able to push an enemy's limb weapons to the side so they don't shoot you.
- DESTRUCTABLE TERRAIN. Also the ability to smash into and hide within buildings.
Mechlab & trees:
- Getting rare things in an alternate system, such as something like what Wildraubtier suggests here: http://mwomercs.com/...od/page__st__20
- Aesthetic changes to a mech. NOTE: some customizability should be allowed for free, or at least follow what makes sense based on community warefare factions.

I'd like to see player run non-canon faction units have a way to represent themselves in game. Maybe a fairly hefty cash fee ($50?) to create the unit in game. The unit commander could create a unit paint scheme, get a custom unit name and "decal" approved, and attach the unit name or an acronym (like in EVE) to member's names.
I'm all for uploaded unit logo's, BUT getting one approved would have to be part of a fairly pricey real money service as described above. The price would have to be high enough to keep the number of applications manageable and justify having someone working at PGI take a look at each submitted design and approve or deny it based on a set of rules meant to prevent any inappropriate or offensive art from making onto the battlefield.
I think the Hero mech thing is a great way to make money, but I'd suggest making them available for a limited time to give players a sense of urgency... if there is a deadline (declared loud and clear on the launcher) after which a certain Hero mech will not be available any longer I think it might push players with a habit of collecting things to buy it before it is too late. The same variant could still be offered again with a different skin later on, the skin would be the collectible limited time only item.
I for one am hoping to collect every custom skin, cockpit item, and Hero mech I possibly can. I regret that I wasn't able to justify to myself spending $60.00 to upgrade to Legendary, now that it is too late I wish I had just sucked it up and gone hungry for a week.

Make all the Unseen mechs (Warhammer, Rifleman, Marauder, etc) you can purchase one chassis with all it's variants for $30, or the entire package for $120. Then after the Clans invade you can do the same with all the IIc line mechs.
Oh and of course I would get them for free since it's my idea, RIGHT?

For instance I would expect to ABSOLUTELY NOT have founder's tag nor game credit.
If the 1 and 4 mechs were still included AND still have the permanent c-bill bonus, I would strongly consider going the legendary route, and definitely the elite route. If not I would only consider going to the veteran level. I would expect these mechs to NOT have a founders skin (if such a thing exists), just the existence in my owned library and preferably the c-bill bonus.
I would be willing to pay $5 more at each level (if mechs with bonuses still included), since we came late to the party. I also think, once the game out of beta, you could just open these packages up for another $5 increase ($40, $70, $130 or something similar) and they might encourage some purchases.
I WANT TO BUY THIS GAME, BUT NOT JUST AT THE MC LEVELS YOU HAVE SETUP.

I'd spend some for "hero" variants or maybe pre-release new mechs, not as much as your asking currently on the hero though - but I'm not as dug into the universe as some people may be.
Customized Hard-points is something that I would highly consider paying for, because I too often find all of the variants are just not quite what I'm looking for.
Skins - if they were cheap enough, and more likely if you could pre-set them to each map.
Not something I would purchase in beta, but once things are sorted out and the game goes gold -
Maps & Modes: I wouldn't have an issue unlocking more of the game though several 1 time reasonably priced purchases a la DDO's method.

Example: Mech bay slots could possibly be bought with C-Bills, but at a redoncolous price. (Hangers aren't cheap in cannon.) But it could be bought for a small amount of MechCredits as an incentive.
Example: Paint Jobs, same deal there. Sell at a high price for C-Bills but a low price in MC.
This could apply to a lot of things, with the exception of Premium Membership. I'm not a big fan of being a Premium Member, but I would never take the option away from someone who has 1) a job 2) kids and/or 3) limited spare time.
I for one have lots of spare time that I waste on this game.

As of this writing I have not spent a cent on the game, but planning on buying 10 mech bay slots in the near future.

one possible that touches on pay to win as it were, is variants of the standard weapons maybe, maybe a little % higher damage but runs hotter as a result, lower heat but has a longer cycle time, or takes more slots to fit, or weighs more etc and as a result costs more to repair etc.
or even this as a idea (look further down the page)
http://www.sarna.net...ouble_Heat_Sink
but with the weapon idea you cant really call it pay 2 win as they'd be a 2 edged sword with benetits and costs (besides the inital purchace cost)

Not that it is a bad idea but I feel that could diverge from the developers initial intent of making this game a true successor to the previous games with a good emphasis on the TT rules. Having variants of weapons around that never existed would ruin a small part of the game for me, and I think quite a few would agree.
However, the further into the timeline we get, the more variant technology will be available to us. There is quite a bit of it too.
