This would be EPIC!
...Although how much contextual stuff could our mechs ever snag? Vines in a rainforest? Random signs in a city?
Would be very cool though to see a PPC hole in the mech while in the mechlab, and a tech in the background yelling "I just patched that yesterday!"
Also, in regards to:

Seriously? C-bills buy you better gear; more armor, weight-saving upgrades, AMS, etc. They certainly ALREADY and ALWAYS HAVE offered the ability to purchase tangible combat effectiveness upgrades. The only advantage that Premium confers is SHORTENING THE GRIND time to be able to purchase said upgrades. What you are saying makes no sense. There are so many people on this forum that have no idea what pay to win means.
Pay to win means that I can only buy a UBER gun with real cash and no other gun that powerful can be had with grinding only, that allows me to significantly out-damage non-paying players assuming skill is equal.
A grind once is acceptable. When it becomes a constant maintenance cost, the game becomes a constant grind2win scenario. Once they offer a metagame financial advantage with the premium account, in tandem with any scenario that can ever consume more C-bills than it generates, that means that the long-term average combat viability of a non-premium account goes down - which is the very definition of pay2win. It's just a little bit sneakier.
