most importantly it would supply money to help get the game past these early problems that are flooding the forums.

Kinda like LoL, (they do the F2P for the most cash, and have a good system, 2-3 new costly champs, or numerous older ones for 20 bucks) Cheaper mechs mean more mechs sold, more mechs sold (more player diversity) more bays sold to hold them, vanity items and paint jobs sold to keep everything customized and each mech you own not boring to look at. Those who want to farm will, but if you can pay a few dollars to save a lot of time (mech buying with mc if 4-11bucks for light to assault) lots of people will do it willingly and a lot more money would be earned. If it were to cost alot(like it does now preportionally 8-24), more people would get mad and outrage but some(less in number and money value) would opt to save the time anyways.

A stack of 2-4 books in a horizontal holder with customizable titles on the edges.
I would love to have "A History of 21st Century Computer Games" "Quantum Mechanics" and "The Art of Trolling" in my mech. It would be a great way to show personal tastes and interests in the cockpit without letting in too much user content (the regular profanity filter would have to just disallow certain options).
And its been said before, but mech paint schemes and colors as more expensive permanent unlocks instead of single-use. I'd be much more inclined to unlock colors for 3-5x their current cost if I could: A. Use it on multiple mechs, and B. Change it back if I get tired of it or have reason to change it (flying unit/house colors instead of personal favorites, etc).
Same goes for cockpit items. Not really interested in putting down any MC for just a single mech, but I could see paying more for one I really like if I could stick it in multiple machines and remove it without permanently losing it.

See, I'm actually willing to pay (when I can) for little extra special things, like special mechs that come with special paint jobs etc. The stuff you're offering, I'm willing to buy (when I can)... Except, I think its too expensive.
I (and others like me) play free-to-play games because we can't afford a monthly subscription. Ok, some play because they just don't want a monthly subscription, and others because the love the game whether its free or not (personally, I love this game whether its free or not but I can't afford to pay monthly, every month, so I'm glad its free because I wouldn't/couldn't play if it wasn't...)
However, when I look at the cost of one of these fancy mechs and see that its more than the cost of a pizza... I'm sorry, I can't do it.
Sure, some people will blow hundreds of dollars on mico-payment games, and its people like that who keep the game alive for the rest of us. However, my gut tells me those people would blow hundreds of dollars on the game no matter what the prices were... They just want to own everything they can in the game... So, instead of upping the prices or having high prices, you just need to offer more items for sale... Which, of course requires more man hours, but you'd still probably be making a pretty decent return on your investment, especially since with lower prices you'd be picking up more customers like me.
So, how much am I willing to pay? Well, if its something I think looks awesome (like for example the Fang and Flame mechs), I'd be willing to go as high as six bucks. That's it. Anything more than that and I'm thinking I'd be better off getting the pizza.
See, while I can't afford to pay monthly, every month... I could probably squeeze six bucks a month out of my budget for entertainment... That would mean I could buy a new fancy mech, or avatar in another game I like, or whatever, just about every month... But, then I might not be able to for three months in a row or something... but over my lifespan of playing the game, I could afford it more often than not, each month.
=-=-=-=-=
I'm not the only 'poor' person playing this game, I'm sure. I'm an adult who's under employed, thus poor. However, how many teenagers play this game? Some teenager's parents will dish out money for them, but those teenagers who play online games, for the most part are probably playing subscription games.
The teens who's parents won't pay for a monthly subscription play the free to play games. They can't pay a monthly subscription, but they can be resourceful at times. Again, at 15 dollars for a mech or whatever, they're more likely to spend their money elsewhere. However, at 6 bucks... they can convince a friend to buy it for them, convince their parents to buy it for them 'just this one time, please', or whatever.
Think about it, a teenager goes to their parent and say, "Mom/Dad, I want to buy this virtual-hologram-robot thing that I can't hold, or see in real life, or resell to anyone, and has no real value, but it would make me happy."
The parent says, "How much?"
Which price is a parent more likely to say yes to?
(I'm also aware of perceived value, and making things more expensive to make them more valuable... Certainly, that's where the people come in and spend hundreds of dollars at once, because they want to roll around in the big car with the fancy rims... So... you can't put the price at 1 or 2 dollars, or else the perceived value is too low. ... Even me, if I do buy a Fang or Flame, or similar 'fancy mech', I'd do it in large part to be distinct... for bragging rights... so... well, there you have it.)
That's what I'd pay for... or at least, how much I'd pay for it.
=-=-=-=
300 MC per hanger (at the current MC prices) seems just right to me. That's perfect pricing.
4500 MC for Fang and Flame (Each) is way too much IMO. I'd buy 'em at 1250 MC ($7.00)
100 MC to 200 MC for a paint design, depending on how great I felt it looked.
I wouldn't pay for cockpit or hanger full, though I'm sure some people would. I find the hula-girls distracting, and with other stuff if other players can't see or it doesn't give me some sort of edge, then I don't want to pay for it.
I don't ever want to have to pay money for an edge though, in a free to play game. That sets the balance to those with money, and those of us without money will leave and then those with money will have no one left to play with.

A gigantic siren for the atlas able to produce a high evil sound once pr. game, loud enough to be heard on half the map?
Not that the idea is original, in at least a handful of sci-fi movies you see a colossus able to produce some kind of terrifying sound!
What do you think?

that would be pretty cool, I love brawler builds so it would be nice to wield a blade, or a claw.
they are also well integrated into tabletop example: hatchetman
i think this would be the first video game version of mechwarrior to ever include melee.
also i think it would be funny to watch an atlas punt a jenner that is in too close for torso weapons. i will definitely need a trackball with more than the 2 buttons i have currently for this.

Honestly, I'm still missing my custom-painted Mechwarrior VR helmet that I used waaaaay back in 1995 that the company who designed it was pitching to include w/ our computers. I really should have taken that with me when I left the company. Not like anybody else there played MW.

But if there was a good VR gear setup for this I'd probably blow a grand w/o thinking about it (and probably twice that w/ a little consideration). Such is my love for the Inner Sphere.

Though, I'm not sure that should be an MC only option. It should probably be available on non-MC mechs as well. But if the the only variant of one of my favorite mechs with a ballistic shield was a hero mech, I'd be more likely to spring for it than any of the current ones.

I'm willing to pay, and I'm sure others are too, I'm so sick of looking at the blah colors on my founders Atlas and not being able to put it in my unit's paint scheme.
Same thing for Hero mechs, I haven't bought any hero mechs for this one reason alone, I can't repaint them to match my unit's mechs. I want some of the Hero Mechs, but I refuse to spend money to get more mechs I can't paint.
Thanks!

and i would definately be in for the second founders round!
didn't buy founders back then, because somewhere they said that it was for North America only...so i didn't bother
now i'm quite disappointed that i didn't take the chance...would lovingly have paid the 120 for a game that brings my childhood back xD

Since you already own them, I understand the reason it is like this may be to promote purchace if you don't want to grind. So let me pay a price for this convenience. Same with modules I buy - let me buy 1 extended range module with C-bills and have it available for all my mechs. Like a mechanic's fee for not having to change out each time. Also saves a lot of C-bills, so people would be more willing to pay.

Oh, if they just took the campaign and weapon systems from MW3 and put this graphics engine and art on top of it, I... don't want to talk about how much money I would spend on that game
