yeah, in my mind, founders was like investing in a company, non refundable.
I invested because I hoped that this game would be awesome, not for the stuff (though it helped

)
I would never dream of demanding a refund for my investment
Yup.

I never paid for the "stuff" either I paid to support a team based game. Since they took that from me and my team I asked for a refund. When you are investing in something they say will happen then they back out you should not be shunned for asking for a refund.
I really hope that this game will be all that it can be and will continue to thrive, with 5 Million already I am not sure why they are pushing for more funds by pushing open beta and conforming to the PUG's out there that want to treat this game like its a lone wolf BF3 game.
They did NOT take that from you...let's not be overly dramatic. They are taking a step backwards to take a larger step forwards. And if you love this game and want it to succeed, you'd understand why.

wow... if those are the final founders numbers, id really like to see at least half that many people on when the game goes live. I would love to see what the servers do with that kind of stress lol
Unfortunately it does not work like that. Take WoW, SW:TOR, etc...the number of accounts is many multiples of the population on at any one time.

Most of the "feedback" on the forums is garbage anyway. You need a shovel to sift through the bullcrap. You actually had time to re-buy your founders package last week if you had paid attention. One of the people I play with was able to do that. That email they sent out was fairly transparent.. Overall for a game company they're doing pretty well vs. some of the games I've played.
Yup.

why would anyone want a refund???? are they nuts?? this has been the best money i've spent in a long time and even with the hiccups of beta it's been pretty damn fun. Long live MWO!!!!!!
Yup.

I kind of wonder what would have happened if those of us who asked for refunds never asked in the first place?
Would we be seeing a rushed Open Beta tomorrow?
I think the lesson here is that PGI listened because we spoke with our $$$. Of course, those of us who actually did the talking (got out $$$ refunded) are constantly being told "You jumped the gun" or "you don't care about MWO, go back to COD".
I had the balls enough to ask for a refund because I expect quality and smart decisions from the companies I invest it. They weren't making good decision, so I pulled my investment out. Now, they changed their minds and made some better decisions. I say it was an overall success from the standpoint of those who got refunds.
Note: Investment is not the best word to use, so don't take it literally.
I planned on a snarky comment here, but a few others took the time to rebut your argument and were even nice about it and it still went in one ear and out the other, so I'll pass.

Darn I have the worst luck. I finally get enough money to buy into the Founder's Program and it just ended.
Buy MC in the amount of the package you wanted. You don't get a few of the perks, but it is still a good value. They may run other "packages" as promotions in the future too. GL/HF
