Bryan, the missile door toggle/state looks like a fix to the Centurion and Catapult missile doors. Could you please expand on that for a few sentences? I would assume that we'll have the ability to keep the doors automatic, as they are currently... or perhaps lock them open for combat if we choose?

How long are we supposed to play on the same 4 maps? I can't wait for community warfare to finally come out, and we fight over the entire inner sphere on like 5 different maps total.

Yes. Absolutely. You can preview all of your changes before committing.

We have 2 new maps in production, Desert and Alpine. Desert is due out December 18th. This does not include the re-lights of existing maps.

Bryan,

Will there be a way to turn off ELO and or not participate in ELO matchmaking? I for one hate stats based match making or for that matter someone else deciding who I can go up against. If one is to improve you have to play against all possible players, not be forced to play players in your "skill set".

If you toggle them open, they stay open. Otherwise they work as they do now, open when fired, closed after a period of time.

my biggest fear comes true... looks like EVERY mech can carry EVERY module so far... that´s sad... there is so much potential for role warfare in that...hope they change that system asap...

I will keep using DHS untill PGI finds correct ballance. I'd expect something about 1.5-1.6.

If you play in a public match, it will use ELO. As for private matches, we're looking at it closely.

You can't buy skins and own them. So the answer is both yes and no depending on several factors. I'll make a specific post for this topic when the feature is getting close to launch.

They were already planning on making this change to the 'Mech Lab but I do not remember when it was supposed to be coming. Maybe with the item stats and details mid-late November.

It would be nice if you can use random generated maps in special game mode.

So DHS will on work at 1.4. WFT why would I even use them. They should work a 2.0 and that is that. But we will see. I will try them and we will see. I trust PGI, even though i have felt that the heat mechanic as suck all along. I still do not see PPC making a come back anytime soon.

You all realize this is nothing right? This literally means zero change to the current system. No where in any of the Phase 1 descriptions were partial pre's garunteed to face another partial pre. The original Phase 1 simply threw a 4 man (or smaller) group into the general "bucket" of Pugs, with random chance determining if another partial would queue up on the otherside (or even there own side).....So...with NO size restrictions...we're left with ANY premade group being thrown in the "bucket" of Pugs, with a random chance of queueing up against another pre...Oh wait! That's exactly as it is right now!

Bravo PGI....Bravo...smoke and mirrors :)

I just read this post. Heheheh. Well, it's nice that they at least fixed the typo from "Not" to "Now."

That's why I try to not freakout over controversial things until they get confirmed. I don't always succeed, but I try.
