It doesn't add any tactical decisions to the game, it just outsources them. The question when to use it is the same as when to fire your weapons with the conventional heat scale. The only thing they provide is an additional shot for already ridiculous-heat builds before shutting down.

Guess I should have shut the hell up.

Your post is a troll post. You are upset with the game, and you are still upset with the game. Best you find another game you can go rage about.
There has been a lot of fixes and changes, Perhaps not as fast as you want them, but you are already unreasonable to start with.

Dont worry i did but still waiting for over 17 patches!
And thanks to those people that at least try to give an anwer. 1 New Map (sorry but even 1 Person alone working on maps could do more in that time) and some new modules i read. Less lag shielding and teleporting (wich is realy great).
So still no metagame?
And what a about Pugstomping`?

I do find it odd that PGI is opting to monetize enhanced cooling (C-Bills or MC) considering that we have DHS that only work at 1.4 because actual 2.0 DHS were too effective.
ENGINE heatsinks are still 2,0 but those outside the engine is at 1,4 and since we dont suffer targeting penalties due to heat we shouldn't complain.
When we get target lock penalties in percentage to actual heat or fire rate delay then you might have an argument.

Completely insane. The Devs are obviously smoking serious crack.
After all of the gnashing of teeth about heat balance, they now add something which is GUARANTEED to encourage broken heat-based configurations which will abuse the coolent flushes... AND are consumable which basically guarantees a revenue stream.
You might as well have added Gold Guass Ammo a la WoT.
Moronic.
From what I understand of coolant flush being a consumable, it essentialy means that you can only use it once per match.
Next match it's back to being usable again. It's not like a gun where you have to buy rounds with CBill/ MC every time you want to reload it.
At least as far as I understand it.

Also I run a 'Deathbarrel' Stalker. If I had coolant flush on that...Well it is already almost overpowered without it...

There's no confirmation from the devs of that, that's just one hope that I (and others) have been pinning on it.
But as someone else said, the word "consumable" definitely carries some heavy weight with it that may indicate they are indeed only used once (or a few times) and then gone, which would be a constant c-bill dump for users, or a constant MC stream for PGI.
And obviously would cause some serious rage on the forums if that was the case.
I really, really hope it isn't.

While I for one never quit, I'd say it is worth coming back to...Of course I could be byist because I absolutely love MWO...

It should be like the TT Coolant Pods, period.
It should increase heat dissipation per sink for a short time, that's it.
And it should take tonnage / crit space. You can't have 200 Gallons of Coolant sitting on your mech and not adding weight and taking up space.
It should not be a module. Period.
But I guarantee you it is too late to change, and whatever we get, we'll be stuck with for a while.
Star Citizen cannot get here soon enough (to then further dash my hopes by turning out to be exactly what I don't want it to be...)
just finished reading the wiki on how they functioned and the one thing that caught me off guard....coolant systems aren't around in this time. other than that, it's a waiting game until they get implemented into the game where many will judge them accordingly, but i can foresee something nasty when they come.....
also, yeah they actually should follow TT rules

I really hate bandaids. I want the designers to get the system right in the first place. It could have been done since Closed Beta.
And if this is an MC or C-Bill consumable, it's also an avenue to P2W.

Several threads were made about this and the general consensus was that we didn't want that feature in the game, it was potentially too game breaking and gave too much of an advantage to energy heavy mechs (which are already doing very well currently).
I gotta admit, I'm disappointed... feels like PGI is taking the path to the dark side...

Please provide a reference for this assumption.
Either way, Coolant Flush modules will be required equipment on every 'Mech that generates heat. You'd be moronic NOT to run one as it directly fixes one of the underlying problems MWO has had since the beginning (ie: poor heat balance).
Dumb dumb dumb.
Honestly... so many poor design decisions. ECM, heat model, convergence, coolant flushes, the cap mechanism... the game can't take too many more of these without even the die-hards giving up.
