Same. I fired 3 triple LL alphas into the left eye (cockpit) of a shutdown atlas and each one registered to CT.
Left from your or his perspective?
If you stand before the Atlas it's left eye is actually to the right of you.
Oh and hitting it perfectly counts as a Headshot if you actually hit the Eyeball.

As I said - the left eye (of the Atlas). That would be the one on the right if the Atlas is facing me. I know where the cockpit is supposed to be. I did hit it perfectly, in that eye. It went to CT.

When was the last time you got a head kill shot on an atlas?
I had another post proving it, via shooting a shut down one in both eyes with large lasers...and still getting damage registered on CT.
Fix pls. Hard to kill should not = invulnerable.
Ahem.. Excuse me, but.... This.
(Literally took me 4 minutes to dig up some of my old footage, encode it, and upload to youtube)

Nope, please read through the threads:) Weve hit it dead on with Lasers...and registered CT.

Old footage for one, update it it and date it for this week.
Also, from your laser pattern it looks like you are driving a Jenner, which is actually proving my point about small mech angle....many thanks!

Old footage? not THAT old. Only a couple days.

Clearly, CLEARLY sir, there is an issue. I dont drive any lights since CBT, and none of the mediums on up can hit it.
If i cant hit it- and not just me from these posts- by shooting it directly in its eyes, with lasers, while its standing still from 300 meters then something is wrong.

I do it in an Atlas, Cataphract, and Hunchback on a semi-regular basis. If I play enough games I'm bound to get at least 1 a day. I haven't played my Jenner since they added ECM and I don't have any other light mechs.
My Hunchback does it with Small Lasers + whatever SRM6 hits; Mlas or SmLas + UAC5 in my Cataphract; AC20 + MPls + random SRM6 that hits it in my Atlas.

My experience is coming from a Cicada mostly, occasionally a pult and muromets.

Or maybe I should just learn to aim? No, no, that can't be it.

Here's the guy I did it to mentioning it
All assault mechs should have tiny almost impossible to hit head hitboxes. They're intended to be large, slow, and difficult to kill. Having an easy to hit cockpit would make them obsolete, like Awesomes used to be.

Well, it sort of should be. In early BETA I easily 2 shot any Atlas because the head hitbox was a viable target, and the mech is slow.
The splash dmg of SRMs literally could 2 shot an Atlas. My gausscat could 2 shot any Atlas. A PPC overheat oven boat or 2xAC20 cat could EASILY one shot an Atlas.
It didnt make sense for the big awesome assault mech to get 1 shot every game as the lagging lights and mediums run around invulnerable.
It made sense to significantly reduce/remove the Atlas head. Otherwise, the mech was useless with the games current status.
edit: note, that I wouldnt mind the Atlas getting headshot if the game wasnt a massive lagfest with failed netcode and programming + weapon imbalance. If heavy mechs actually were better than lighter mechs, I would promote such a weakness. As is, the Jenner is already >>>> an Atlas. By a long, long mile. Therefore the lack of being headshot is literally the only bonus the Atlas has. Not that a Jenner is ever headshot either because youre lag-leading it 50 meters or more (so its all chance at this point), but at least the Atlas now can benefit from 100 pts of armor. It helps it compete with the effective 200+ pts of armor the jenner has due to lagshield.

Hard to kill shouldnt mean 98% invulnerable. I drove an Atlas K/RS back then, yes, even when it was easily headed. I agree with you about the phantom armor though.

Find a stationary atlas and shoot it in the face with lazers...
There is still a head hit box, and its not the left eye any more.
I doubt the moving of the hit box was intentional... but if I can take out an atlas with ml in my commando in 3 shots (probing all around the left side, atlas went down on the 3rd shot) then its still there.
Hint... try the left eye brow region...
or maybe I just got lucky and managed to take down an atlas with 3 ml shots... ... ...

1st shot - left eye - registered RCT
2nd shot - left 'sinus'(sp?) - registered head
3rd shot - left eye brow - atlas head exploded.
all done with 1 ml in a 3D (3ssrm, 1 ml) on an afk (crash to desktop) friendly atlas.
