Too much cinematic filters and post processing only dulls the colors and puts unnecessary stress on our PC.

I used to live close to town and it was often a hazy yellow.
You think brown is unrealistic? Try living in north carolina.

The images on the right seem like they were run through a color balance filter on Photoshop that attempted to remove the color gradation, and give a sense of happiness, well-being, fun and other emotions that don't feel synonymous with mechanized warfare.
+1
I prefer with color filters. I'm not watching a cartoon or playing TF2.

Here are some screenshots i took with sharpen and overdone vibrance and r_colorgrading = 0. You can make it look absolutely different with other settings but its worth it just for the sharpening filter. I wont run the game with these settings just the sharpening, posting to encourage people to try it
Didnt have the time to get any good ingame shots yet, may update post once a friend comes online to "pose"...
filters/nofilters
How to do it? Just put r_colorgrading = 0 in your user.cfg?

The yellow filter should be a toggle option. The bottom image is a perfect example why.
Not only for visual aesthetics but also because yellow filter completely F's up color blind players.
Yellow filter distorts color which to color blind players makes it VERY hard, sometimes impossible to have shape discrimination. Its almost as if you used the current zoom module and made it the default 'background' view past 200m. Its all a damn blur. The ONLY map without the color filter, frozen map @ night, is the only map that color blind players have no problems with.
Since the thing is a filter there are no color-blind windows accessibility functions to counter it. Heck, some even make the entire yellow filter color distortion far worse. Switching windows to black and white turns the entire background to near pitch black BECAUSE of the yellow filter.
.... but then again, this has been posted thousands of times since closed beta and the devs apparently dont give a rat's **** about it.

I always feel bad and frustrated after playing Battlefield 3, not only because it's a dumb down game and a rushed consololo port with 100+ bugs glitches and exploits but ALSO because it have very depressing colors and bad sound.
So they're stupid, ignorant and dense? This is not how to make friends and influence people...

I prefer to live in habitable regions of the earth. Not someplace like The South, where mosquito abduction is a leading cause of infant mortality.
