Minority masses in that is what the forums are. The people on this board make up a small percentage of the overall player base, regardless of how big or small that player base is. Now, I won't disagree with you that it is rather entertaining coming here and posting. But, still, why get this mad over what was added and what isn't when you're playing a Free To Play game (ie, one that you don't need to invest anything outside of time)?

I won't say that I'm not bothered. ECM is wilding broken, Streaks and LRMs are out of balance, double (energy) and triple (ballistic) extended ranges are awful ideas, PPC heat vs cool down when compared to the other heavy weapons are way off base, mech speed compared to TT and what should and shouldn't be allowed is very sketchy, and the same tired 4 maps which are all the size of a monopoly board are rather old. BUT, you don't see me making a post threatening to leave the game or getting all red in the face over what has happened. At some point, you have to weigh your time investment vs your emotional investment and make a decision. Getting pissed about it probably isn't worth the energy.

I've kept up the faith for a while now but this patch was very dissapointing, how long since the last decent patch? What you Dev's get back from vacation just lastnight?Bottle Flu?Too many bong hits? or just release the wrong patch?

I want a new map and for ECM to be toned down, not another ******** light mech with ecm that is completely inferior to the Raven 3L.

I'm willing to believe them that they're actually working on heat balance with ppcs and other heavy energy weapons, but they appear to be completely oblivious to how much frustration ECM and the boredom of playing the same four maps over and over is causing.

Well that's a severe disappointment. PGI have such an issue communicating with their fans. I read every post on this thread and I honestly believe, despite some of the more strongly worded comments, that we all love mechwarrior. And that it is from our intense passion that the forums get so heated.

I think what's really churning the vitriol is the parallel that can be drawn between kickstarter games and a founder pack. In both you're trading current risk for potential future reward. Most people that back kickstarters like that intimate connection with the developer and if you're like me you were hoping this was similar. But unlike kickstarter these devs don't care about the players in their game. They've made it abundently clear the community does not matter. It's this business decision that I have such a hard time getting along with.

MWO is a niche product, but instead of being the best niche product, they're trying to grab market share already with OB. It's just too early for a good player experience. So you join the game and play in trial mechs that overheat easily and don't have the same kind of punch a well customized mech has. Probably against premade groups that know the ropes. In unfamiliar maps. With no meta game. I'd leave too, but I love the MW games and this one is seriously awesome when it gets it right. I'm willing to wade through a lot of crap for this game, but most people aren't.

But instead of trying to make the game awesome for the niche, they look at expanding to recapture lost playercount. Things like 3rd person despite overwhelming rejection on the forums. There was a poll that was well over 90% opposed, yet PGI cited 'huge demand' when they talked about adding it. If this was kickstarted I bet they'd listen a little closer to the forums. And I'm willing to bet a lot of you bought into founders hoping it would be like a kickstarter run internal to the company, I know I did. But I know now that I was wrong. And in case you haven't figured it out yet, you don't count.

At least, that's the perception PGI chooses to create. I fear than unless they want to change that perception MWO may never even see launch.

At least they cured the Alt + F4 disco so you get the kill, right? Performance was better on River City for me, cosmetic changes in GUI etc. Nothing stellar, but OK. Waiting for the next patch.

Im getting even worse FPS and the Spider is just meh. 3L raven still king. Even with 12 JJs the 5v barely jumps equal to the pre fixed JJs. At least it can jump unlike everything else but still jumpjets neet a 100% increase in power so pilots with them can actually feel like theyre getting tonnage worth. To jump a spider usefully requires 6 tons and only gets pre fix JJ performance..... meh. Every patch since November my FPS has gotten worse and worse and my GPUs run hotter and hotter. Cant say I've had an improvement since September.

Come on, guys, they just had holidays for christmas and the new year like everybody else. They have a life beside their jobs, too. What do you expect from them? Losing their wife just to satisfy your needs?

I dont know where you've worked in your life, but my job gives us Christmas, boxing day, and new years day off. that's it. I can't imagine most office getting 2 weeks Christmas break.

I find FWO extremely fun. By making the game suck, PGI has made the forums infinitely more exciting.

Some performance improvements as well as map improvements.
New mech is essentially useless.
A few bug fixes.

Nothing spectacular also nothing absolutely awful.
