I've been dumped mid game several times mid-game (sorry team :( )since the patch, but not from mechlab.

Well now, since the unexpected patch today, I can't even log on. at all. times out EVERY SINGLE TIME, and when it does not the menus never fully load (can't get into mechlab, no mechs loaded)

Hi,

Prior to the patch a few days ago I would normally have a 60 ping. Since the last big patch I have been getting 500-600 ping. I tried restarting my computer a few matches ago, I am back down to 60 ping for one match and have 500 ping again in the second match. I'm in Florida, USA for what its worth.

Any ideas?

I went from 60-70 in closed beta to 180-290 since the last two patches. It's not just you.

50% of my matches were plagued by either disconnects early on, massive ping spikes mid-match, or immediate loss of session. doesn't appear to be happening to many others . reinstall did not address, just today, hopefully a problem with the interwebs rather than the patch but wanted to report

it looks like servers are on interleave kind of connection and overloaded. My ping is usually between 40 and 60, but in the pike hours to servers it's 160 and above

Before today, I never had this problem. Now, I even disconnect within the Mechlab. I'm not sure what information client side would be useful to help you fix this, but If anything I tell you could help please just ask.

I've been having this too. At least if I dc'd ingame I would at least get something done

I have observed this for quite a few games now. I only use thermal vision on River City Night.

Without TV I have a constant 45 FPS on that map in any situation, as soon as I turn it on FPS drop down to 10ish sometimes depending on how many mechs are there and how many shots are fired.

The Time the client was running before seems to play a role too, the longer the worse it gets.

My settings:
All on low except for shadows, they are set to medium, because I used to get an annoying flickering from shaded surfaces, when setting it to low (have to test if still case with newest patch). AA disabled. VSync on. 1680 x 1050.

My Specs:
Win 7 64
4 GB Ram
Phenom II X6 1055T
2x ATI Radeon HD 5750 @ 2GB (1 each)

I'm fairly sure I've got mine tracked back to local connectivity issues, doesn't appear to be MWO related.

Maybe this is the answer. I have been playing all morning with reasonable ping.

Wow! Where to begin..?

This last patch has too many problems. Running an nvidia gtx430 with latest beta drivers on an AMD athlon X2 6400+ with 8MB ram on a Win 7 64 bit system. All video settings on low giving me an fps of about 25-28

Problems:

1. Client drops while entering the game.
2. Mid game/match client lock ups - still have picture but everything is frozen and ctrl al del will not unfreeze it.
3. Reticule/HUD issues -
a. target reticule pops up with a target but is stationary on the HUD while you move
b. random target designators (letters and arrows) appear on the HUD when nothing is targeted or locked
c. Targets become invisible (Target box is around mech but the mech is not visible for targeting locations)
d. minimap shows grid only - no mechs, no terrain, and does not move as you turn
4. That is all I can remember from this last session

A month ago I only got 30-60 ping. Even while downloading.
Now I constantly get 180-240 ping.
It makes no sense.
I live in New Jersey in US. So whats going on here?

While the overall situation with Lights and fast mediums since the Jan 22nd patch is better, it has come with a side effect which is hurting my game massively, such that it's not fun to play.

Namely, during UK prime-time (apx 4pm through till about 10pm), my ping jumps from 120 to 180.

Now, the ping itself isn't the problem, but when this happens, I also warp all over the place - This is a massive problem.

I'll be moving my mech, and then all of a sudden I'll teleport several tens of meters to one side, as if I've bumped up against an invisible object and been shunted aside.

I'll line up an opponent for a nice shot, and then just as I hit the trigger, my mech will teleport tens of meters to the side, making my shot go well wide of the mark.

Another effect is lag-shielding is now on a totally new level.
I was recording a match this evening using Fraps - I was shooting an enemy Raven, but in order to hit him (using my torso reticle, so bear in mind the target should be centre-screen) I was having to shoot literally a whole half-screen ahead of him.
This wasn't one isolated player, it was everyone moving laterally, and it happens constantly during UK prime time.

Of course it isn't those players with a massive lagshield, it's me, warping all over the place.

This issue only appeared right after the Jan 22nd patch, so it's not my connection that has changed, it's a result of the new movement code.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the overall intention of the patch, but for me, it makes it utterly unplayable at the only time of day I'm really interested in playing; It's gotten to the point where I'll stay up late so I can play with my unit's American contingent, just so I can get a couple of playable games, but obviously, it has curtailed my interest severely.

Sorry for the negative feedback but obviously issues need to be reported and that's what feedback is for.

If it wasn't for this problem, and the recurring texture-bug on Frozen I'd vote for the last two patches to be the best yet.

65 ping.

9 volleys of 6xSRM6 to a very slow Atlas from ~25-50m, all of which hit (and the first 2 to the back before he even noticed, so should have been 180 damage all in the same place).

371 damage registered as the camera panned around the smoldering wreckage of my mech after he killed me.

Basically, half the time when it shows I hit, it didn't.

Hi,

After last patch the bug causing the infamous 4FPS is apparently gone. I used to be able to play 3 games before the bug, yesterday I played 10 games on a row.

Sorry for this late report but I haven't been able to play for a while.

Good job devs, thanks.
