I wouldn't mind goin' Medium myself, especially since Centurion's there and I took liking of the mech after reading the Warrior Trilogy. Heck, Light Mechs could be fun with as if in to try out how far one can go on small mech, doing one's main function (as scout or spotter) while possibly harassing or doing damage bit by bit on a big opponent and dodging.

I'd like to think I'm good enough for mediums, but probably most comfortable on heavies.

I like big guns (I can haz Gauss Rifle?), so the heavies and the assaults are my favorites. Favorite mech, though? Fire Moth. <Crosses fingers...for 12 months...>

Oh man, I ran heavies for a little while, tried my hand at assaults, but my favorite mech back in the day of Mercs 4 was the Hellhound. Load up an AC10 and an LBX 10 and it was just meeaannn. fast, nimble, and could beat the crap out of anything.

If they don't implement tonnage-per-team limits, there is almost no reason NOT to be in an assault.

Want a heavy? Strip out a few guns and add a huge engine. Still armored like an assault.

Want a medium? Strip a couple more, bigger XL engine. Now you might even die like a medium.

Light? Well I really doubt an assault can go that fast. On the other hand an Atlas can target lock just as well as a Jenner.

of all the Mechs shown so far I really want to try the Raven and the Hunch. After a while I might, maybe try a Stalker, but I know the Stalker falls under the Assault class

This is a silly question. This is not world of tanks where the biggest tank wins.

I can tell you that Asaults are the least played class, your assumptions are compoletely wrong.

in a pen n paper match i tore a Timber wolf apart with this and never took a hit

I will be putting alot of time into the Hunch I think. Something about a massive A/C 20 on my shoulder seems pleasurable....Heavy mechs and the like are nice and all, but im sure the will also be EXPENSIVE to load up with ammo and fix....Something to consider.

I will from time to time pilot Assaults but i prefer the versatility of mediums and heavies. I think my first mech to try will be a modded Centurion with a Large Laser and Guardian ECM instead of the A/C 10.

Knowing my play style already in this game, I'll be spending most of my time in a heavy/medium class mech, with the occasional foray as a light scout role, and very few stays in an assault.

I will be playing an assault, but not because I expect to be unkillable. I will play the assault to be the distraction, or the tank in MMO terms. Let the enemy focus on me, while my lighter lancemates pound them to scrap. And if they don't focus on me, I'll have the firepower to make them pay.

And I like being a close-in slugger. So, when I play lighter mechs, those will be the designs I use, like the Hunchback.

I love medium mechs. I agree with the earlier poster who mentioned that they are the perfect blend. Engage when you want, withdraw when you don't.

I will most likely be a medium mech, it suits my playstyle of picking and choosing where and when I want to attack.

I enjoy piloting the commando, fast agile, reaaaally small target and has some decent firepower on it, gotta love it's animations in game.
