Very true.

#saveMWO was upset about the state of the game before the 3pv debacle, even though it became a central focus of it as of late.

The only reason I could see saveMWO letting up is supporters throwing in the towel on this game and no longer feel it's worth fighting for. In that case, the game will bleed thousands (more) dedicated players.

Their latest poll had two terrible options, with sleazy fine print to boot.

I think it is safe to say that everyone involved with #saveMWO/Mecha Lingua have been against PGIs recent 3rd person decisions, especially the limiting 1st person to 12 v 12. We all know that queue has been hurting for players, most units were having trouble just fielding 8s when the 12 v 12 arrived, but PGI would sell you a different story.

I believe we will have one prior to launch, but a date/time has not been set at the moment. Last I checked it was being planned sometime around the 10th through the 14th.

So just a quick question is anyone else other than Lotax (as they have clearly stated their position by not answering whizards request) going to provide support to uniteanddrop.

We know that a lot of you did support the imitative but are we actually going to see it? Or was it just all empty words?

Just curious as no one has even bothered to replay to Whiz since the 4-9-13 which was 8 days ago?

Or dont you actually care about the game and our community?

Just so you know, Anders has been out of town, that is why there has been no response. The request has been forwarded to Mecha Lingua, and if you think we don't care about the state of the game then why would we have dedicated our time to #saveMWO in the first place? Attitudes like that don't help your cause.

Eh, Unite and Drop requires me to actually log on, which I refuse to do in protest.

They responded to my BBB case, and offered me 90 days of free premium time as an "Olive Branch."

Add that to my 90 days banked Founder's Premium time, similarly unactivated in protest, and I have 6 months of premium time banked... for a game I don't / won't play ;)

All your doing is killing the game more sure its not a perfect mech game but its the only MechWarrior game in development instead of all your hyped crappp you just go to SF and try to talk to the Devs? Most of you don't have the balls to get out from behind your desk and talk to PGI face to face. If the game dies I hope its rebuilt like many have posted about and made topics on in this forum. MechWarrior game IP's take a lot of money to develop why not band together and make your own MechWarrior type game instead of crying like a bunch of little Bittches? :rolleyes: ;) ==All I want is this to play MWO the mechs are just to soft and don't last long in toe to toe battles -->

I'd gladly go to launch, but can't afford it even if free, and have no vacation or even the option to take time off from my job.

And I'd be 100% polite and professional and smiling and all. Unlike some, I'm not "mad at Bryan / Russ / Paul" and tossing around insults or hoping they get fired.

I just want the game they sold me last year.

I just want to play MWO like in the video I posted but im not bitching about a game that's free? If they make the mechs more durable-More maneuverable and more game modes I will start paying some $USD to them but im not going to help destroy the game and the great people that made what we do have.

That's exactly the problem. The game isn't free. It would not have made it anywhere without the huge amount of cash founders threw at it, and now some founders, along with others who threw in cash early, are unhappy about the direction the game has taken compared to what they were promised when they paid for the game.

Yours is a perfectly reasonable stance for many people to take, but it simply isn't an option for those who have invested large amounts of time and money into the game.

And we're hardly trying to destroy MWO. As indicated by the title, we're actually kind of trying to do the opposite. The game launches in, what, five days? And then the game is open to full review and criticism, without the "it's still in beta" excuse to hide behind.

At this point, I have a very hard time seeing launch as being anything other disappointment and failure, and potentially one that kills the game for good. We really, really, don't want that. This is the first mechWarrior game in forever, and it could potentially bring a very new and interesting kind of gameplay to the world of online shooters. Inarguably, MWO has the potential to be downright amazing, but it will never reach that potential if it gets hamstrung by a garbage launch.

#saveMWO admittedly started as kind of a mess of conflicting ideas and opinions, but what it has all boiled down to - the underlying cause of these varied grievances - is that the communication between the developers and the playerbase is currently non-existent at best, and inflammatory or deceptive at worst. So, we want to open a better dialogue between the devs and the players, and not just #saveMWO players or founders or people who have spent x or more money on the game or competitive players, but all players.

Beyond that, who knows? But for now, communication is key, and I really don't see how anyone can call that destroying the game.

And yes, I would be very interested in knowing the date and time of the next townhall meeting.

The game is free to play. It always has been.

And not all founders are unhappy. In fact, it's a rather small group of them. Most are still playing the game today.

My point is that MWO literally could not exist without the large investment made by founders. If I remember right, it totaled something like 5 million dollars? Without that money, there would be no MWO. At all.

Call it free to play if you wish, but there was a point in time where people had to pay if they wanted to see the game exist.

EDIT: A quick search reveals that the founders program raked in a bit over 5.2 million.

That's not true either. Founders money isn't the only way the game can be funded. Heck, the game got a good way through closed beta without any external funding. Founders money just made it come along faster.

Closed beta was not limited to Founders only. There were a LOT of people in closed beta before the Founders program even existed. And once it was open beta (which is where we should draw the line anyway), there was zero requirement to pay to play.

Better communication would definitely help. What the grumpies should understand is that we're providing feedback. This is not a dialog. Nor should it be.

I would love to talk to the Devs face to face but considering I live in Australia it is unfortuantely a little impracticle for me to get to the Canada or the US for a face to face chat with the Devs.
