It's not a strawman. I bet the goons could have awesome charts and graphs that do the same thing.

If you don't want to fix your graph, that's fine with me. Let the community decide if they can read the graph that you have posted.

http://en.wikipedia....isleading_graph

Ah, so the left scale shows the unique and the right the pageviews? Because below the graph it reads "unique" on the left and "pageviews" on the right side?
If you can't figure that out, how can one consider you as a capable person, who's criticising this game on and on and on...?

Well, it looks the the Prophets of Doom are still running strong in here.

As I pointed out earlier, the numbers have risen from 0.5% of the claimed MWO registered accounts to a mighty, TOTALLY RELEVANT I SWEAR 3%. It's possible that those unique views represent every single active player in MWO, but equally possible that they represent just 3% of them and a few journalists covering the media backlash but not actually playing. We'll never know.

Journalists? Seriously, bloggers are now called "journalists"? :P

At least they're more reliable than Fox News.

You can't assume, especially if there was an actual mistake.

At least the goon provided "fix" is better, despite the obvious mistake.

So the final judgement is spoken. The misleading graph shall not be accepted nor forgiven. Never!

Yes, they are. Especially if the blog is somewhere like Kotaku, Gamefront, Gametrailers etc.

I object to your blatant distortion. Kotaku are barely fit to be called "writers", let alone "bloggers" or "journalists". :colbert:

Failing? What do you mean by failing?

If hits equaled financial success, there would be a whole lot more dot-coms today.

"Online users" is the only relevant stat when it comes to MWO's success, and PGI took that out of the game a long time ago.

Is this topic really about release? ;)
Reading it, I really doubt that there was one ;)...

Anyway. I am yet hoping for the best!
MWO didn't promise to be super like "Rome II Total war did".
So now I feel better...

Rome II not very good then ?

Are unique page hits account based or IP based? I'm assuming IP based in which case I wonder how many are duplicates of people accessing /r/mwo from different computers at different locations, Work, Home, Smart Phone etc....

Not the most reliable data point.

For gods sake, PLEASE make your own great looking super duper extraordinary shiny graph with many colours and glitter and stuff!

I'll give reddit the benefit of the doubt and assume that they are tracking accounts and then views from non-account IPs seperately so as to get multiple users in one house/dorm/whatever and people who just lurk for more accurate statistics. They make a lot of money via ads, so it makes sense that they'd have proper metrics for reach.

PGI: One would think that you could've fixed the stupid memory leaks when you launched the "stable platform."

First thing I learned in programming, mind your memory leaks...

I find it "ok". It does not have the same atmosphere as Shogun 2. But then again I may be biased by the fact that I married a descendant of one of the great clans. ;)

Brian I got a question. As far as Mechwarrior goes I am a Clan Wolf supporter. My Question is: Will we be able to play as the Clans when they are inserted into the game?

Yes but only if you are on premium time and have purchased the Clan Mech Invasion Pack for $120 ($3000 value!)
