But the 3 variants + extravariants + hero pack are still bad, since mastery is gone

That depends. If you have a use for each different variant in the pack, than you can end up with 4 different play styles to enjoy from a single pack.

I mean, own seven Huntsmen, and each one has a different build on it. It's kinda nice to be able to switch from one role to another by selecting a different mech, and with the skill tree I can even spec out their skills to match each build too.

PGI do not usualy put all Mechs of a certain type on sale, there is usualy a Mech sale at least once a month but that usualy contains a theamed selection of Mechs, not all assualts or all Lights but maybe all Jumping Mechs, or all mechs used by competitive players , or all chicken walker Mechs, or all Zombie (with head or CT hardpoints, able to keep fighting with just the head, CT and 1 leg) Mechs.

Last year we did have each whole class on sale throughout the year, and I think before that as well, but as this year we've had none of that, it seems they no longer do that kind of sales.

which is exactly why I said that is not how it usualy happened (do you think I put enough emphasis on the word Teer had missed?), it has happened in the past but far more often it is a selection of Mechs based around a theme for the time of year or a new ingame feature, or the event.

They have gone a year or more without doing a whole weight class sale in the past, it was more common before Clans but still not the standard format of a sale, however it definately could happen again.

I found a faq from a couple years back, but want to double check on how Clan Reinforcement packs work. The Reinforcement mech omnipods are not available for purchase with C-bills until the mech is available for C-bills? But if I own the mech, I can move the omnipods on it to another mech.

This makes sense, because if you could buy the omnipods for C-bills, there'd be little point in getting the reinforcement add-on.

So if I want the NovaCat ballistic option, have to get the reinforcements or wait till next summer.

And I can add the reinforcement pack on whenever I want to, even after the NovaCat comes out?

I'd thought I could change the color of my mechs whenever I like, but my Timberwolf seems to be locked into Phranken Black. Changing all three colors to azurite only changed a small part of the mech. Does the timberwolf just not have much color variation and most of it is dark gray?

Try other patterns, colors might look different on them.

My question is, when are reinforcements mechs released for MC's/C-Bills? Like there will up upcoming July 18 patch with Mad Cat MKII, when will standard version be released for MC's/C-Bills and when will reinforcement variants be released for MC's/C-Bills?

They are not explictly mentioned in the FAQ, so I could only guess, that they are released with the standard variants...

They are all the same in this matter. Only different is hero mechs which will only be available for MC, not for C-bills.

Most clan mechs are very, I think the word I'm looking for is "Spartan", on their default cammo patterns, with very small pieces of the mech getting color and the rest being a basic metallic grey. You'll find that all of the wave 1 Clan mechs are like this: Kit Fox, Adder, Nova, Stormcrow, Timberwolf, Summoner, Warhawk and Direwolf. There may be a few others as well. (I think PGI realize people wanted more color on their mechs, so they stopped doing this for the default patterns.)

If you want more color for these mechs, you'll need to purchase a different cammo for them. Best solution is to purchase something called a "One Shot" cammo. They are inexpensive to get, but once you have them on your mech if you change your cammo pattern again it's gone completely (hence, it's a "one shot", it only applies once). You can change the colors all you want on the cammo, just not the pattern.

As far as getting MC for it (real money currency), stick around for a while. Events (oh, look at that, we are currently having a random loot bag event) will often have MC as possible prizes. Save this up and you can get a few One Shot cammos for free.

Yeah, you're right. Got so used to seeing most mechs were all green by default, I thought they all were. May get a woodlands for my Timberwolves this event.

Will IS PPC quirks also affect light and snub nosed PPCs in the same way that they currently also affect ERPPCs?

As I've mentioned previously (been a few pages back I'll admit), it's really hard to predict what will be implemented into the game within the next few patches, so any answer you get here will be pure conjecture and nothing solid.

As far as I know, and I'm guessing here a bit, any quirk that affects IS PPCs should affect any PPC no matter the type. Currently, a PPC quirk affects both ER and standard PPCs, so I have no reason at this time to believe it would be otherwise. However, this may change with the new tech as I have no way of actually knowing for certain.

This sounds like a "Stock" color pattern.
The Stock or default color pattern of all Clan mechs has mostly a dark gray, with some changeable parts noted as "Basic Green" by default.

Any other pattern can change colors in places or all be tied to one color to create this effect:

This is using "Polygon." on both the Invasion version (left) and the regular (right).

As an example of the Clan default skin:

The advantage is not being completely basic green as a new player.
The disadvantage is, well lets face it. It sucks to not be able to repaint the whole thing without having to get a pattern.

Yes.
Unless the quirk states "STD PPC".
The "STD" only PPC quirk already exists and states "STD PPC".

You will also see Light and Snub PPC-only quirks which each will say their actual names.
