I agree, in this case, with Martian .. I would not go this far (monetary) ... that is a bit over the top

.. this said, is the 'Prime-I' viewable in the in-game store? .. I wouldn't mind digging through the specs and doing a little 'window shopping'

.. just for curiosities sake.
The MDD-PRIME(I) variant is exactly the same as the same as the standard MDD-PRIME variant - LPLs, MPLs, LRM-20s, etc. It differs in having a "Invasion" paintjob and the letter (I) behind its designation. This 'Mech also provides 30% C-Bill boos.
After all, you can swap OmniPods as you normally would.

But in all these what-if scenarios I had another (yes another ..sigh) question
The 'Pilot Rating' .. iow ... the 'Tier' rating .. how exactly is progress made? It seems to have gone up for me in a steady pace .. but now I have been sitting at the same spot for a while now and I can't really figure out how to make progress. Could one of you well versed folks explain it to me please?
My explanation will have two parts:
1. The progress depends if you are better than the other players of your team AND the best players of the enemy team.
Just imagine that after the game you create a list of all 24 players, all pilots listed by the score. The first 12 players get the green arrow, the remaining 12 players get the red arrow. Note that perhaps 2-3 "weakest" players of the winning team might end up with the red arrow, and maybe 2-3 best players of the defeated team cen be awarded the green arrow.
If you are exactly in the middle of the list, you get the "=" sign.
2. So why has your progress stopped?
Eventually, each player reaches its personal performance plateau, i.e. "a place" where the number of green arrows and the number of red arrows balances each other out. I mean, in the long term. Thus, it seems that your progress has stopped.
So what is the solution for your problem?
a) Contemplate if you can play better (improving your gunnery and piloting skills; improving your knowledge of the MWO maps; improving your situational awareness in the game; gaining your confidence and pushing your 'Mechs harder).
b ) Modify the loadouts of your 'Mech. For example, the higher yoou move in Tiers, the less useful LRMs are.
