Got in late tonight but got in some great drops. Brought two of my unitmates along for the first time (Pandeleches and numbTriggerfinger) and I think they had fun. Me and Jaeger will try to continue to spread the word in our unit and get more guys to try it.

I had a blast tonight, and I think it may be safe to say that everyone else did, too! The highest-damage for lowest-damage worked very well, as did two-highest for two-lowest when there were more players. My experience was one of very even ratios of wins & losses, and almost every game felt very close. The few that weren't close were generally due to someone on one team suggesting a strategy, while the other team merely reacted to it.

Even after almost everyone else left, and we were down to two-versus-two, these were still close, with the winning team losing half of their 'mechs each time. Earlier, one of the crazier matches was one of the best I've ever seen; our loss was a result of one of the enemy player suggesting a coordinated charge to his team, which they then did in a most impressive manner. This is how Mechwarrior was supposed to be played! Good show, everyone.

A question regarding Stock Mechs. Are traditional variants allowed to be built using current MWO chassis.
A Prime example being that Orion Variant that happens to have the perfect Hardpoint layout for the MAD-3R.
Or are they WYSIWYG

Edit: For wrong Marauder Variant

The Eras Wednesday group, I believe, allows this if it's appropriate to the era they're doing that week, but -- no -- this isn't considered kosher for the Saturday group. Not sure about the official stand on the Monday one. [looks at Tyger]

Dear Stock Mech Monday Players,

in addition to your great weekly event, there is a Stock planetary league available at innerspherewars.eu!
For reference, see this

As one of the people who should have been participating in the Euro timezone stock drops, but have been unable to lately due to summer vacation and RL I feel partly to blame for there not being enough pilots during the eurodrops for proper variety as has been commented on earlier in this thread. I shall therefore make an effort to show up for these regularly. That way the rest of you will have an easy target to kill. :)

I have been enjoying these videos greatly, and now that Ramadhan is done (A Muslim month of fasting), and I no longer need to be at the table breaking my fast while you guys are doing your drops, I will be FINALLY showing up.

Straith, I watched your videos for all of our sessions tonight -- very cool! It was especially interesting for me to get to see my Raven 4X from the enemy's point of view, for the first time ever. I got some real enjoyment out of watching my silly little Raven jetting around in your vids. Flying Ravens aren't something I often get to see (even in stock, unfortunately, especially since the new jump jet heat affects SHS so much -- which isn't a complaint about the JJ heat, by the way, but it does mean I can't jump as much as I used to in the SHS Raven).

Hopefully, more people will soon realize that the Raven 4X is a good, solid, fun 'mech in T1 stock matches and will start running them. Come on, folks! I urge everyone to get a stock 4X and give 'er a good hard try! (I'm looking at you, too, Jeager!) I want to see a flock next Monday. Vive la Ravenlution!

And I'm also very glad to see that the match ("SMM: 37") with the other team's glorious shock charge is there -- it deserved to be recorded. Thanks a ton for uploading those!

I've got several videos as well that need some work - including our view of SMM: 37 from the charging team's perspective! I'll try to get these up ASAP.

Good games, all! I really think the Red Rover personnel shuffling worked well.

What got me most about #37 is that I was beginning to suspect ya'll might have gone tunnel so I looked over to see if anyone was there, and when I turned back the push had already begun. Such unlucky timing for me! Then when I tried to run away I humped that Hunchies leg and finally Payne put me down.

OMG! Both sides of the same great battle -- now that's some serious coolness right there.

Had a BLAST at SMM. I think the pilot rotation to balance the teams worked really well - and it seemed to increase the between match banter, as there was always somebody from the other team coming over and chatting about the last match.

Had a great time in every fight. This is the most fun I have in MWO.

So apparently the Awesome is getting actual "quirks" in a patch or so I heard. Meaning Awesomes will hopefully be even better than they already in are in stock play.

* 12.5% less heat from energy weapons
* 10% faster heat disapation
* 17% less damage to hits to the Center Torso.

No stock day allows a pseudo Marauder build, but on Wednesday you can build some missing variants - if you wish you can peruse what is allowed on that day at this link: Stock Mech Eras: Master Mech List

Indeed! I only regret not being a part of that initial charge over the edge. Seeing the panic in Straith's eyes must have been glorious!

Why not separate the days into 3025 Stockmech Mondays and 3025 custom Wednesdays (only tier 1 tech allowed, but fully customisable mechs)?

That was the purist stock mech players still have Mondays, but players who want to play variants, pseudostock mechs and modified mechs within the tight bounds of the 3025 Tier 1 rules can still go all out on Wednesdays.

Took a break from MWO for the most part the last month or so...may need to outfit a few more mechs back to 'stock' and come back to these.

Is it permissible to NOT downgrade from DHS to SHS, but to leave the same tonnage open that WOULD be used for SHS and use only enough DHS to attain the same heat values as SHS?

Unfortunately, no. Your engine double heat sinks will always remain doubles, so in practicality, your heat values will always be improved over your SHS counterparts. Add into that fact that some mechs (Hunchback 4P) store external heat-sinks in the left shoulder that can be taken out to impare the pilot, and it'd be an unfair advantage.

Not as far as I know on any stock mech comp rules, the problem is the placement of the DHS. If you have them placed at a different position, then you have an advantage if one side gets blown off compared to when you would haev SHS,.
