Im starting to play with 3erll.
Good Luck
So you just alpha headshots?
If I think I can successfully pull off a headshot which is easier when a mech stands still and that I know where the head hit box is. The timber wolf head hit box is the center glass pane on the bottom, I believe. It's better to unload 33 points of damage to the center torso if you miss for your team. It will help your team early before that mech enters a fight. Otherwise conserve the heat generation with group firing or chain firing the two erlarge lasers on the left arm with the right in a seperate group as if you were going to alpha strike. The backspace chain fire is safer and faster at accuratly shooting weapons at 0.50 intervals to avoid heat scale(Ghost Heat).
Core from behind?
Yes, 33 points of damage will strip off rear armor like a 6 med laser jenner. Without rear armor on a mech it can't go full speed while retreating from a fight or it risks exposing it's internals to your team.
Vulture?
Everyone vulture's to secure kills. The faster a mech goes down the more focus a random amount of player's can lend to help you or other's on a single target. Remember what targets you have attacked early on and benefit from the impending kill or component destruction you'll get when they choose to show themselves again. That video does show me attacking targets that I previusly shot before in another scene.
Is it more brawl or more snipe? It's a sniper. The armor will not hold up without taking advantage of damage from weapons decreasing the farther they go. A advanced Zoom module helps with tracking hit locations on a mech and improving your ability to see where a head hit box is. WARNING: The Advance Zoom module doesn't work at looking down or up steep slops because it's primarily sighted for torso mounted weapons. The arms go off the advance zoom's sight which will mess up the aim.

I run my kitfox with Dual Ultra AC/2s in the torsos. Great little suppression mech. Alternate fire with em bad boys and you'll send a continuous stream of shells down range.

kit fox prime. ECM rt arm with 3 ams and a ermed las. left arm 2 ermed las
swap out rt torso for ballistic omni use the ac 2 (Ultra or not) with as much ammo as possible.
Max out armor.
Combine with Radar deprivation and Enhanced Zoom (a plus if you have it fully experenced would be advanced sensor suite or hill climb)

This version is great at range as well as makes a great ams/ecm support mech.

I cant get into the Uac2.
Tried a mini-meta with Uac2 and a erppc+jj+ecm. I sucked at it but the heat control was nice.

I've been using a support build with the following:
ECM, 3AMS (2.5T ammo), 1 ERML, 2SRM6(3T ammo), 3JJ.
Sometimes I switch out the SRMs and ERML for ERPPC and 2ERSL or ERPPC and 2ERML

Lately I have started using a full-support build, making use of the targeting comp's increased sensor range and the Adv. Sensor Range module. This mech is a very good supplement to any star, and can be the situational awareness commander: it will provide ECM while spotting mechs from a very large distance (29.25% father), and it will also detect weak spots quickly (42.5% faster info gathering, without module!). LRM's will also not be a concern with 3 AMS using 3 tons of ammo. It might not be able to constantly dish out 500+ damage, but I average around 300 and it's also good at finishing mechs with open internals using the dual MG's (with an extra 9.25% chance to crit).

This is what I threw together today:

SRMx24 (7.5 tons ammo)
MGx2 (1/2 ton ammo)

http://i.imgur.com/oA7bV0k.jpg

it's fun. Sorta brawls like a medium, holds up pretty well with almost max armor, but takes up a light spot in MM. People were aghast that I didn't bring ECM, but I figure if I was going to bring ECM I'd be infinitely more useful in a speedy spider that could relocate and ****

Ive been rocking the srm24, its fun. Ive had 700-900 damage matched with that loadout. Its also great for hunting Atlas and Direwhale. Find a straggler, sneak behind them, core them out from 30m away. Run and hide.

Dont brawl other lights. Kitfox if just too slow.

This is another reminder that you can mount a UAC/20 or Gauss on a Kit Fox.

I ust gauss it up with a pair of small lasers and 3 tons of ammo. They see me rollin around and go "Oh its a kit fox, it cant do nothin" and then I lob a gauss round in their face and theyre like "**** **** he has a gauss!" XD

Actually they just swat the horribly under armored light mech, but wouldnt that be cool?

Also, I do run my gauss fox. favorite build to date ^^

not viable at all - you can only fit 153/210 pts of armor with that build. UAC5 is all you can get. This mech can't even support 2UAC2's by themselves (same tonnage as 1 uac10, not to mention the other weapons) without serious drawbacks.

I built it like this with more armor KFX-PRIME

I've tired of the Large Lasers and decided to give NARC a spin - I call this one "in and out". I know I should have slapped another weapon on the left arm, but I feel the extra 2 DHS allow me to be more trigger happy with the ppc, and to compensate for my low hit rate with it.

Still can dish out good damage -
