Just got these beauties in the mail today for an early birthday present. I now have all boxed versions of MechWarrior 4 and the only MW PC games I am now missing are the original 3, MW2 Mercs, and Pirates Moon (which I do believe came separate of the Gold MW3 edition but I don't know for sure).

I think I remember playing Bard's Tale well back before CDs existed.
If I remember right (been a looong time) it was a good game.
Only had one of the floppies though (and I was just learning to read)- so I cannot comment much though.

It is one who's name I have remembered over the years - which probably says something.

Only other ones who's names I consistently remember from that period that I had would be Jumpman and Rampage  - had a lot of unlabeled disks though.

I have been part of the polling there to get them to do it, but they haven't replied sadly. I also have tried to do the same there for Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds (one of the absolute best games ever IMO and my personal favorite out of all my collection actually).

Well, if you haven't seen it already, I have some good news for you...

I laughed when I read your post... I played Bard's Tale on the Commodore 64 using 5 1/4" floppies and a tape drive! The second game I ever played on computer after Ultima III.

Hey guys I got a question. Do you know if MechWarrior 3 Pirates moon came boxed on its own instead of just the Gold Edition? I have never seen it boxed on its own but it wasn't a very well circulated Expansion either so I don't know. If you guys do have it do you mind posting a picture so I know what to look for?

It's been a long, long time but I remeber buying a boxed copy of Pirates moon, I only remeber playing it once though, and bumping into an OpFor Atlas on the first mission, and being in something much smaller, that didn't fair well after jumping over a hill and into the backside of that Atlas...

Edit:

I found an image online of the box.

thanks I will keep my eyes open. I am potentially getting the Gold Edition in a few days but I want to have each Expansion and game boxed just for the heck of it lol (I am also looking at buying the original MW games boxed as well after I save up cash and get a job over the summer).

Welcome, I wish I could go back and play MW 2/GBL/Merc as well as MW 3/ Pirate's Moon again, it would be nice to do it as an adult with all the years I've had in tactical thinking now... not to mention the better understanding of the games now, than "Giant stompy robots!!!" that I had when I was younger.

I am both happy :) and sad :( I am selling a piece of my younger CBT soul to have funds for buying packs today.
At least the old miniatures, some I actually painted, will go to people who will use them rather than throwing them all in the metal recycling.

A few weeks ago I found this big ol' Mechwarrior 3 box in my parent's basement. It was a display piece at a computer store back when the game first came out; the employee was nice enough to give it to me for free.

The cardboard is a little warped from all those years in storage, but cosmetically it's excellent. The Mechcommander/Mechwarrior 3 back-to-back years were incredible.

No pictures, but I have all my old CCG collection in a box somewhere in my house. I've got a couple decks built too. My favorite being a Marik deck thats missile based. Its designed for fast mech deployment and early attacks on your opponents stockpile.

Have 3 or 4 of the comics. The number one issue I have was printed for 3D viewing with the old style red and blue glasses.

I only have a few models :(

Those being the original Behemoth, Aiden Pryde's Timber Wolf, 2 Scyllas, the Bounty Hunters power armor, and 2 custom made Ragnaroks from Mechassault (yes I did make some pretty beast Ragnaroks for TT)

I sold most of my models years ago to a few friends. So I have spent years rebuilding. Barely have any. Basically I am reduced to what you see in those pictures. The Omni Assaults and the originals to come with the 3rd Edition. I had a few odd ones (like an Assassin and Annihilator) but not much left. Been going to all the comic stores as stuff to get them back. But I kept all my old data sheets and stuff lol

Got these in the mail. Along with a new copy of Midtown Madness 2.

Vengeance was..... special.... and not in a good way...

After playing MW3, you'll be surprised just how bad it looks by comparison, and that the game play isn't as smooth, nor is the mech lab as nice.

Okay so I was bribed back into playing MW:O with a gift from a Guildmate with an Urbie, and also because he started painting mini's again.

Here is the stuff I dug up and dusted off. (I almost never get around to finishing the bases...)

Comstar Level II: (Missing a Spartan and other Ontos is out of picture)
