I had to double-take on that. The atlas only gets 80 (160) while the crab gets 120 (240)??
The increased twist angle from twist-X is included on the stat cards?

That's a good point. Is twist-x, and twist-x elite x2 included, or does it display as a "+" value?

But is it before or after unlocks? Because if before, that's totally nuts.

Even after unlocks it's still nuts for a 100 ton robot with 10 hardpoints.

Looks like it does, after cruising my mechlab.

However if that's 120 after a 20% boost, the base is still 100 degrees, better than any other IS Assault mech I'm aware of.

If that's *not* after the boost, then with boost it comes to 144 degrees, similar to a Jenner.

Edit: Thanks for the clarification. Sean, could you let us know if those stats are before, or after mastery?

the incredible yaw; better than ANY assault in the game? It will take a lot to convince me this mech isn't the best IS assault in the game.

Do you mean its on par with mastered Awesome maybe? Cause it has the same 120 on smurfy.

I'm doing the same, but leaving a bit confused. Engine speeds determine turn speeds, but Yaw and Pitch are independent. Do you mean the skills are figured in before the plus value?

There's a skill that improves twist amount by 10%, and one that improves twist speed by 20%.
Once you finish elite, the basics are doubled, so you get 20% amount and 40% rate.

The basic maximum yaw amount is chassis dependent, and as a fun fact, the base yaw rate that is modified by engine and skills is determined by the yaw amount (or at least it used to be). A 20% yaw amount and 40% yaw rate mech is actually getting 20% yaw amount and 60% yaw rate.

My guess it's it's 100 twist angle at stock, 120 after mastery. Still very good, and as Sergey kosinskiy said, on par with the highest torso twist, currently the Awesome.

The small profile of the King Crab is definitely going to be an issue on flat maps, and it's going to be an issue when the King Crab manages to take the high ground. But looking at the bird's eye view, you have to realize that it probably has the biggest CT hitbox of any mech in the game. It's CT is going to be extremely exposed on maps with a lot of levels, like Canyon or Veridian Bog. Basically, taking the lower ground with the King Crab is like asking for someone to pop your CT.

Kind of ironic that it's huge shell will probably be its weakness.

This. In a stand up fight, the hitboxes will be great. If it's flanked, not so much.

Missiles will utterly annihilate it.

Any fast moving light who finds this thing alone is just going to face hug it in the blind spot and melt its face.

He could have boated machineguns and streaks, I guess. The king of grab deals still ended up way too close to death for its own good, and in an actual match, I don't think any daishi would see a reason to get that close to IS brawlers.

This is true, but I would have loved to see the Crab rocking 4xUAC/AC5's. I think that combo will be far and away more effective than the 20's.

I can only shake my head regarding the balancing. The king crab get quirks beside it seems that it will be the best IS assault?

This thing clearly tops any Victor but still, Victor get no quirks?

Or shoot at the ENORMOUS rear profile. It would appear that baby does indeed *adjusts monocle* "got back".

Those torsos could be shot by a blind person being directed by a seeing-eye dog's barks.

Victors were tier 1 and thus got no quirks.

They prequirked it which is a small problem but I suppose they may have done some play testing before release.

I'm assuming the Victor will get quirks. I think they removed the nerfs to test the waters, but it needs more help now that the poptart meta is mostly dead, which was it's strong point.

The crab is going to make me rethink my drop deck for CW.

It's LRMs that will be the problem. Using that single AMS is gonna be highly recommended.

I'm going to do some theory crafting with the AMS from now on. I can see LRMs being a quick death. It's like a landing pad for LRMs.
