Just to further differentiate the chassis, such as with the Clan Nova & Clan Black Hawk. Then the IS would be fighting both a BM "Hellhound" and an OM Hellhound, instead of a BM "Hellhound" and a different BM Hellhound.

I feel like when pgi finally decides to put IS omnis into the game there going to put them in as bigger packs. Either two groups of 4 mechs or one group of 6, and could also tag on a couple bonus mechs if they really wanted to. Like what they've done when introducing the clan mechs or the timeline jump mechs. And I have a bit of hunch they might come out sometime late this year, about any time after July. And heres a bit of a top ten picks for these omnimech choices,

Raptor 25 tons
Owens 35 tons
Strider 40 tons
Men Shen 55 tons
Blackhawk KU 60 tons
Avatar 70 tons
Perseus 75 tons
Templar 85 tons
Sunder 90 tons
Hauptmann 95 tons

And yes even with the worries about locking engines and other things I feel like they will put them in anyways and think of away around it as an excuse.

I see a severe lack of IIC's and unseens, which in September should be the final ultimatum of what happens for that court fiasco. If anything after September, the mechs released from there on out should strictly be the two categories listed.

Good thing we have a lot of good options for Clan medium mechs. My preferred:

• MW4's Hellhound (50 tons battlemech)
  
• Coyotl (40 tons omnimech)
  
• Vapor Eagle (55 tons battlemech)

Phantom is interesting with micro lasers, but has no tons for anything bigger than an ER Medium Laser.
Pouncer is a relevant mech, but with Cougar and Adder just 5 tons lighter, it really doesn't feel urgent.
Mongrel is an Ice Ferret that trades a little speed for jump jets.

I think the best thing for the MW4 Hellhound, would be to make an omni, perhaps either 4/6 or 6/9 just to make it different than the Nova or Huntsmen.

I think it was a missed oportunity for a PGI created mech.

I'm also fond of both the Crimson Langur and Rabid Coyote although I've come around to thinking the Vapor Eagle would be the best new Clan Medium of those available.

In the vanilla version of MW4 the Hound did have Omni hardpoints, but MekTek changed it later.

Making it an Omni just makes it easier to differentiate it from the Conjurer and the Nova/Huntsman (current 50-ton Omnis are kinda slow).

Honestly, I think they should ensure we have at least 2 of each tonnage class for IS and Clan before adding more of any given weight.

IS +1 20T, +1 25T, Clan +1 20T, +1 25T, +1 60T, +1 80T, +1 95T.

I think there are two great methods for them to use to determine the next mech:
1. Use the cards from the card game as the available pool of mechs to draw from.
2. Look at which factions are lacking in affiliated mechs and start filling those factions up so we can finally add some dam meat on the bones of CW

I think it comes down to the perception of utility on these.
-Phantom will be fast and nimble like a locust with ECM and comparable pay load, something I would love.
-Pouncer would give us a jumping Adder, and much less fragile than the underwhelming cougar
-Mongrel- a jumping ice ferret! what part of that isn't need sooner rather than later!

Coyote is a good fire support unit, slightly slower than the Viper by about 16km/h (7/11 vs 8/12), but with nearly double the pod space, with everything at cockpit level or slightly higher.
