How can you say that when you have nothing to show for it. The algorithm seems to keep giving us planets along our right side. Eventually we will run out and then we will move south. We at least make progress. Attacking CJF has no guarantee of southward movement. For all we know, it might send us straight west, and frankly having an attack corridor into western steiner would do us no good

We are experimenting.. We might also get a planet on the West-south. We shall see after we take Dell.. I am not the one taking decisions anyway..

Then whoever is making decisions needs their head examined. As we can see in Ghost Bear just because we take a planet to the south does not mean anything about what planet will be next. Once again, the next planet could be way back at our starting worlds or North, East, West, whatever.

There is no "fast" path back to the IS. If we are going to have to cut through one of our neighbors it is going to be a long, drawn out, meandering campaign.

So once again, I put it to you. Who would you rather wage that against? The honorable Falcons who have said they are 100% focused on the IS and followed through? Or the duplicitous Ghost Bears that have claimed the same but attacked us repeatedly?

I doubt you will ever take a planet from the Jade Falcons anyway because no other units are joining you in this. Everyone else is focused on the real enemy, Clan Ghost Bear.

Who i would rather attack does not matter. I follow my orders, and i desperately want the fastest path to the south.. If the Falcon territory will prove to be fruitless, we might go back to CGB planets.. I think.

However, others in my unit think instead that we should attack CJF because CGB worlds are a waste of time right now. Opposite opinions here, and only the algorythm to decide and to troll us.

I feel like we are the Starks and the algorythm is George R.R. Martin.. :(

Not much to understand--like I have said already the way the algorithm works attacking either can be seen as a "waste of time" if what you are looking for is fast path south. It will force us to take the long way through any faction and the only faction that borders us that deserves that IMO is the one to the east that still holds some of our worlds.

You declared an attack against CJF. Despite whatever mitigating circumstances you think are relevant to your own cause it is still technically a declaration of war.

But I get the impression at the same time that you haven't really been empowered to be able to do full diplomacy (no decision making powers) so I'm thinking you might be learning on the job at this point?

It's not a war its a trial of possesion, we asked the CJF's if we are allowed to take them, they answered yes if we manage to get it against their defense. We will not take any corridor unimportant plaents of them, nor will the jadefalcons retailiate this. That is my little traitor teddy the true spirit of clans, which you seem to have forgotten by the way how you just screwed up CW and Smoke jaguar.

Twice now, you have passed opportunities to take worlds because of the attacks on Dell.

This includes a highly favorable corridor opening through Memingen where (hopefully) you might have been able to quickly make a southern path, and simultaneously remove worlds from the roster of the mercs you so hate.

I would suggest you refocus your efforts. Your first duty is to finding a path south. You know that we will resist you in force on Dell. In three days of heavy fighting, you have not taken it. Even if you should take the world, you would encounter this upon every world thereafter.

The wiser man would avoid this bulwark to find a way around.

question? why do you try to resist the CW so hard while you lose plaents to the FRR? you are losing a bit the focus on the necessary front I guess.

But at leats flacons have some real balls, and do defend their planets unlike the bears only grabbed unguarded planets and enver defended them seriously when wolves came because they were just afraid of what is going to happen.

Dark Born are Dark Caste, we kind of don't follow the Clan conventions or traditions as we don't answer to the Grand Councils will. This is a mutually recognised thing since you kind of treat us as dezgra in your soceity. We are just in CGB space at the moment and should not be associated or affiliated with the official CGB actions as a result.

Again however it also seems that people want to accuse the Dark Born of nefarious activities by association due to the fact that we have a Ghost bear icon on the forum instead of any actual activity or evidence of what we do have done?

What is even more suprising is that if people know we are Dark Caste anyway, why would they be suprised if we looked at the events on Tanh Linh as an opportunity for our group and capatalised on it? Even though we didn't.

It is this kind of prejudice as to why the Dark Born despise some Clan elements, those who would be arrogant to sit on the supposed high moral ground making false accusations and determinations of others when in fact the reality of things may in fact be something different.

---

If you want to call it a trial of possession for a planet as per the Clan way then I understand as per the Clan way as that is designed to use less military resources as per that process.

But I don't see any bidding process to enable that to happen and in fact it may be that people then are capable of bringing an open ended amount of military resources at their desposal to then fight the conflict in MWO CW. So in the end it might just be a declaration of war for a planet.

Also the trial of possession also states that if you lose then you are supposed to give something of equal value to the offended Clan or Warrior. But I don't see a mechanic in CW to allow this to happen for the Clans. Otherwise I guess Clan Wolf would have had to cede planets to CJF for their numerous failed attempts to take Dell as per the trial process?

We have not lost any worlds to the FRR. In fact, we gained one last night. Jade Falcon continues to press both the FRR and Steiner. We have also taken worlds from CGB, though they rarely show any desire to defend the gains the mercs gave them.

All of this atop the defense of Dell.

They seem to be avoiding the fight with us as well since their mercs left. Just ghost drops and pupstomps so far.

I want to clear up some misconceptions that I've seen from Wolves in this thread.

Quote

Jade Falcons do not mind and are welcoming apparently the attack with all there strenght like they should.
[W]e asked the CJF's if we are allowed to take them, they answered yes if we manage to get it against their defense.
...nor will the jadefalcons retailiate this.

Many of us in Clan Jade Falcon certainly do mind any incursion into our territory, otherwise we would not be willing to defend what we have won so fiercely. Instead, we would much rather be focusing our efforts on moving towards Terra rather then fending off attacks from other Clans. We do, however, understand CWI's motives to attack us as coming from a place of frustration with moving in the wrong direction, as opposed to the Ghost Bear's expansion into both Clan Wolf's and Jade Falcon's territory coming from a place of mere boredom.

To be clear, permission was not sought by CWI as you can read in the OP. Only that we were informed ahead of time of their intention to move through our territory. I can at least appreciate the respect they had for us to inform us ahead of time and in turn respect them for not simply asking for territory handouts. Had CWI offered some sort of deal to try to swap planets, or repatriate planets as compensation, I likely would have likely laughed them off and taken them to task for being so unClan-like.

As Jeirhart said earlier, any territory lost to Clan Wolf will result in JFP, and likely other Jade Falcon units, going on the offensive into CW territory instead of remaining on the defensive.

MS 253 players, CI 200+ players, aces unknown, + the CGBI players that joined us for a bit

that is how many players went to play IS this week and are not dropping for ghostbear, so who are you fighting? since that was more then half the ghost bear player base.

Hybrid, I don't pretend to know the number of members are in Clan Jade Falcon and as far as I know there exist no way to check membership numbers for any one faction so to say that two units is have of a faction is saying a lot and can easily be seen as someone stretching the truth. MS with the exception of 1 time gone back and 4th between CGB and IS therefore even when dropping for CGB don't exactly count as members of CGB since they are Mercs. Now over many threads which even you have been a part of Clan Wolf members have accused MS as being members of CGB instead just Mercs and MS has always debuffed them. Thus my comment of Clan Wolf being right all along.

There are other units within CGB who can drop to defend or take worlds, the numbers of MS and CGBI do make it to where many of them might feel as if they aren't needed but they are there. Yes when MS is with CGB that clan makes large strides into other factions because MS is filled very good players but I am certain if MS stayed out for some time and fought across multiple factions CGB could hold their own against most non-merc IS incursions.

As per the respect that was shown to us, I wish to put CW on notice that equal retaliation will now be sought in the form of the conquest of 1 planet in response to the enormous push and conquest of Dell by multiple CW units tonight. On a side note, during the last fight of the night that I was in, we defeated an attack and saluted the CW unit that we fought and the response we got was "thanks for the planet". This may have been an honest sign of respect for the fights but it could easily have been taken as a snide comment on how we did for the night. Be aware that I had no plans to retaliate against CW even if they took a planet as you were respectful in your dealings and I understand the plight you are currently in. However, disrespectful comments like that will rapidly turn this into an all our war between us 2 rather then what we are seeing now. Please keep it civil as we both understand and respect each others position and once this business is done, we can go back to being good neighbors.

We of CWI felt the warriors of Clan Jade Falcon had EARNED the right of hearing our Batchal (op) as our Drop Ships entered their space. That is the true Clan way.

We would not consider treating them as anything less that Clan Warriors and the thought of Bartering planets with them like they were merchant caste would be an insult, one they do not deserve.

Neg, We are Clan. CJF is Clan. We do not ask nicely; we Take. We do not Give, we surrender over the burning hulks of our Battle Mechs. That is the Clan way.

**ANY trash talking by CWI members will not be tolerated during our Drops (Especially against CJF). Please Screen shot if this occurs and let one o the CWI Keshik know.**
