Mostly liking the Orions, but the V should have a bit more for missile cooldown, and the VA may need a missile heat reduction.

But really it needs a hardpoint adjustment to save it. I more lazor or rocket and it could be decent.

I honestly am pretty OK with the other Quirks, though I would not mind if one was modded to pack ER PPC

it's a lightweight mech with limited hardpoints no matter the variant. only good quirks can make up for it. and the quirks it already has don't change much. especially the missile quirks on all the energy-heavy variants. that's just wasted budget. meanwhile, the SIB, which is the only one with more than one missile hpoint, gets a whopping 10% cooldown and that's it. instead, it gets some LL range (irrelevant) and beam duration (weakest quirk type ever.)

Personally, I find the 1R quirks to rock. My 225/ 2ppc and 3mlaser VND is darn good.
SIB, and 1AA both only use part of their quirks, but are very effective despite. And dual large lasers are effective.

So while I could use a few different quirks on them, the only one that is "bad" outright is the 1X.

I hope to god the Vindicator has some armor buffs. Its also nice to see that PGI is still ******** on the Highlander. Still no valid reason to try and buy that thing, even though I really want to...

I first bought the wolverine because it was a 55 med that could fight the stormcrow with lpl's. Not exactly better in a direct head to head fight but it let me use the low burn time to fight them well with proper twisting and terrain use. Sadly the blackjack can in no way fight a stormcrow on anywhere near equal terms. I had enough trying to fight stormcrows in inferior mechs using the cn9-AL with large lasers.

Does PGI not understand that people bought and ground out the Wolverine 6K specifically for those LPL quirks? Why would I even bother with this mech with LL quirks? The Shadowhawk K does everything better with JJs in the same weight class. Not even going to mention the money invested to put modules on this thing for CW.

PGI should be quirking mechs according to what makes them viable and competitive ingame not according to the "stock" loadout. Most of the mechs that had decent stockloadouts were the Unseen which arent allowed ingame. The vast majority of the player base will not drive a subpar mech that gets you blown away no matter what people on twitter say.

I would seriously consider not dropping this quirkening and rethinking the whole "stock quirks" mentality. Give the 9S a heat reduction to 35% and adjust accordingly. Spend your time working on hitreg, hitboxes, and more content for players ingame instead.

Do you honestly think that's possible to do while maintaining viability? The differences between certain mech variants are too small for that, and if you want things to reflect stock there's even less that you can do. Certain stock loadouts will never be viable either without changes to weapon mechanics. This is most obvious when comparing stock loadouts of the various Battlemasters. How are you going to differentiate the 1D and the 1G while keeping their stock loadouts in mind?

It already couldn't handle quick, close up engagements, now the Clans rule from long to close range again.

the 3C was and probably still will be one of my favorite Stock mechs. Now if I want to trade up to a ERPPC I can keep teh PPC fire going while I'm in MG range.

As to other quirks. the TBT's I actually own didn't get the LRM bonuses...You know. The main variant and the 3050 upgrade variant. *sigh*

They removed my Wubverine. I got those Woplverines wiht the reinforcment package and the Wolverines were just sitting ther unused because I didn't like them Stock and I didn't see anything intersting to do with them. Then I saw Fantastic Tuesdays Video with the Quirkrs and thought it looked liek fun. and it was. Now the Wovlerines are just going to sit in the corner unused again. The only thing I've come out wiht this is a reaffirmation of my commitment to not but Weapon modules. They are too expensive and it appears Bait and Switch is going to be an ongoing theme for PGI going forward.

As to everything else. I don't even remember what the uirks were so I don't know how they've changed. So. Quirks! I guess.
