PvE would be awesome, and few with a few game modes would be perfect. (Attack, team, defend, waves?)

Solaris FFA 8v8? 12v12? 4v4?

Mech browser/theater/library

lobby AI Bots - customizable loadouts?

collisions and falling, can we get a feeling on weapon knock downs too? the warping is too much.

Distructables, are buildings and bridges too much? small stuff is cool too.

New regular-queue gamemodes are desperately needed and are a far higher priority than any other item in this thread.

The design team needs to revisit and/or throw out the design pillars of 1) small maps to enable instant action, 2) lack of objective-based warfare, and 3) extreme terrain variation. We have maps using those pillars already, and the resulting gameplay is repetitive and highly disappointing, with little variety to the usual sequence of events, endless deathballing, and no real room for role/information warfare.

Please implement some gamemodes that use terrain tricks and strategic object placement to prevent long-range meta while including dynamic objectives that FORCE a team to split up.

You can take out Assault if you need to, in order to implement this new regular-queue mode. Its presence would probably bring back more than enough relieved former players to make up for the bucket issue anyway, so heck, leave Assault in. But please don't use buckets as an excuse. So many players leave the game because it's the same damn thing every match.

-Expanded and more deep CW Phase 3

In short:
  • better difference between how regular and merc units work
  • purchasable Dropships/Jumpships
  • Jump travel time & real time unit/player position
  • Different bonuses/rewards/actual contracts and pays for mercs and regulars;
  • A revised R&R;
  • Planet owning bonuses: factories giving access to free 'Mech/weapon replacements, better pays for regulars
  • Factions and regular/merc status influencing R&R and access to standard free replacements;
  • A gate to CW to keep new and inexperienced players out of it for their own safety;
  • Better and more diverse CW modes: Conquer the Objective (spaceport, industrial plant, power converter, strategic location), Defend the (Union) Dropship (off-world retreat/defending the landind zone at the start of the invasion), 4vs4 supply raid
-Decals (Clan/House units and famous merc units unlocked with loyalty in CW)




-Mech select grid

On long term:
-Solaris Arena (1vs1, 4vs4, etc.)
-Co-op missions;

EDIT: i am adding a few things suggested by other people that i strongly support:

-HTAL damage indicator, with a toggle (i would still use the paperdoll for example)
-In-game lore bits and descriptions of each faction and the main events in the history of the Inner Sphere and Clan homeworlds;
-A rework of LRM targeting: i saw a really interesting but at the same time simple idea, making LRMs follow the aiming reticule. This would account for the not perfect accuracy of LRMs and would finally make them take more skill to hit. Allow indirect fire with lock only with TAG and NARC.

Multiple single/co-op campaigns. Individual campaigns could be sold for RL money. Of course, a tutorial mini campaign that's free would be beyond perfect.

P.S. this idea belongs to LaserKid.

PPS If you could have up to 4 ppl together in one campaign... That'd be pure win.

1) Save/load multiple loadouts per mech. Allow import/export to external tools.
2) Add logistics to CW. Some incentive for taking/holding a planet. Owned dropships/jumpships.
3) Stock mech button for private matches
4) Full smurfy mech layout for lower resolutions.
5) Destructible trees/buildings
6) More variety of CW and public mission types
7)Better rewards for those with permanent CW contracts.
8) Ai or player controlled infantry/elementals/tanks/hovercraft/etc
9) Solaris.

  • Solaris 1v1 (possibly also 2v2 & 4v4) arena with leaderbord and prizes;
  • Trial 'Mechs made by units for their newbies (can have significant xp or cbills debuff, purchased and refitted through unit coffer);
  • `Mech saving time

    reduction (please optimize this! with lots of 'mechs in hangar saving time is terribly long);
  • Loadout import/export to smurfy;
  • Ability to save/load different loadouts for the `Mech;
  • Company Commander ability to give same order to all lances, so you dont have to click 3 times for each lance.

More HUD customization options are needed. Especially ability to toggle off player titles would be extremely welcome.

Besides Loadout save feature already mentioned I just like to add:

- Lowest Settings Feature (let's avoid low-end computer users having a need to change the user.cfg file and just have the lowest settings possible available on in-game settings)

Ignore the fact that the game might look bad, if a users needs that config option, odd are he isn't too worried about the looks but more about the frame count.

Hi!
I just want to have my mechs back.
Not that I actually dont have them anymore, I just want the Mech selection back, exactly as it was before the last patch..
We can keep the smurfy-like configuration part, but I would really appreciate to see my mechs again instead of choosing from a list . So my suggestion: under "select Mech" you can get to the Mech-grid as it was before.
I really enjoyed choosing my mech for the next match, the update made me hate it. Please, change it back.

Ok Well these are some of mine:
  • Change up the XP and C-Bill allocation. So more role based points rather than Kills and Damage.
    • Heavy and Assault Mechs get points based on damage taken as their role is a front line Mech.
    • Mediums get more points for Flanking and Lance Play
    • Lights get more points for Flanking and Scouting
  • Progression to Heavy and Assault Mechs. You need to do time in either lights or Mediums to be granted the privilege of Piloting heavies and Assaults.
  • Additional points for Specialisations in Mediums, Heavies, Lights or Assaults. (nothing game breaking but an additional quirk)
  • Additional points for Specialisations in Clan or IS (nothing game breaking but an additional quirk)
  • Unit Decals and Cammo packs
  • 4v4 and 8v8 and 12v12 battles. (Maybe)
  • MODULE STRIPS.....stop the Module Treasure Hunt
  • Unit Barracks. Using C-Bills or MC to buy / upgrade your Mech Lab for the Unit. This would enable your background Mech Lab to be unit specific and enable an additional revenue stream for MWO.
Wishes but Don't think it is possible:
  • Change up the "Ping issue". Create a Minimum ping say 150 or 200. This is the lowest "ping" for players. This will bring the higher ping players into the game and decrease the rubber banding and hit reg issues. The closer the Ping the better the game and thus the more fun. If everyone is playing off the standard ping there will not be an impact on the lower ping players (Like a PVE game) but it will close the gap between a 80 ping and 330 ping player providing better gameplay for both.
  • Change up CW to enable smaller Units to hold items. So a planet is held by a few smaller units or a Spaceport. If you hold the Spaceport then the attackers are attacking a defended base set up to defend against Mechs not just a wall and generators.

1-pve(once bots are in training)
2-some kind of wave survival horde mode based on the above point
3-limit to group size in public que 4/5
4-invisible walls on maps like tourmaline cleaned up
5- a hard look at clan/is balance
6- combined arms some kind of infantry/helicopter/tanks/more jets to hammer in thr big theatre of combat immersion feeling
7- dropships in public que
8- first person walkable mech lab to appreciate my awesome.mechs!

There are about 10.000 feature suggestions in this subforum - but the one that still lurks in the back of my head is:
- tanks
- aerospace fighters
- buyable dropships

All fully configurable. Tanks and Aerospace-Fighters for CW + public, Dropships for CW or "special public" matches.

Out of the 10.000 requests, I would take this.

In order of complexity:

1- Training grounds against AI mechs

And later: you can choose the enemy mechs in the training grounds. And, later: co-op support for this training ground. Well, what I want is basically the "Instant Action" feature from MW4. You choose the map, enemy mechs and number of enemy waves. Co-op support for this would be a (great) plus.

2- The Gauntlet (see the Battletech book "The Sword and the Dagger" for the reference)

That's a single-player map that will test your skills with a mech. There would be all sort of turrets (laser, LRM, SRM, pop-up, sliding, hardened, etc) and the objective is to finish the course. Best times and scores are recorded (maybe with a global ranking). This would also be perfect for last Combat Tutorial ("if you finish the course, cadet, you are promoted to mechwarrior").

3- Solaris

Basically what we have in MW4:M, but with human players and ladders. (hopefully with Duncan Fisher narration)

4- "MOBA" game mode (for CW?).

Two bases spawning AI Vehicles (tanks and VTOLs). The objective is to destroy a certain enemy building (Command Center?), but there would be other buildings you could destroy (like tank hangars and helipads - destroying them would stop the vehicle spawning).

5- Historical (or not) co-op Battles (and Campaigns).

Battle of Tukayyid, Battle of Luthien, etc... There are hundreds of canonical battles that could be reproduced.

6- MWO: Mercenaries.

Full singleplayer (or even co-op) campaign. You choose the contracts, travel to the planet, do the mission, receive the money, buy, repair and customize your mechs, hire pilots, etc... Imagine MW1, MW2:M or MW4:M with MWO's assets.


PS: for mech packages: Clan Wave IV, with Fire Falcon, Viper (or Huntsman, or Black Lanner), Night Gyr and Turkina; a Clan Second Line Pack, with Piranha, Hellhound, Grizzly and Kodiak; and later on the timeline, the Clan Wave V, with Hellion, Grendel, Nova Cat and Blood Asp.

Well after all this time from before the Beta to now, I have refrained from a lot of comments.

But it is time for me to stake my claim on what I want to see..

Number #1: MORE IMMERSION! More of something other than just sitting here waiting then getting in the queue then playing the same maps over and over with very minimal reward at the end.

I would like to see something more like an active war that is real time live.. i.e. a constantly changing evolving universe where a win or loss actually means something.

Number #2: Some major map and game play changes that allow for less spawn camping and that require players to actually use some tactics and strategy than just rushing.

For example, add actual goals that mean something.. For example in maps where you have to kill the arty gun, make it so that defenders HAVE to actually defend the thing! If they lose it or if it is knocked out they could lose if they do not win by number of kills... Something to give maps more substance and real objectives.

Number #3: Add some method for earning MC! While I know it is about money making, it would be nice if there were some method to earn MC for those who are tired of paying to upgrade in certain aspects.

Number 4: CHANGE the queue system so that people are not being paired all the time against the same clan all the time... Many times I find myself playing against the same clan over and over and over... and of course they rinse and repeat what they do every single time which is repetitive and BORING.

Have CLANs take on CLANS and independents go against other mercs once in a while.. Yes, I know mercs would find themselves in real world fights with clans too.. but make it so that it is not so much and so repetitive... Especially for lone wolf players.

Well, that is my rant for now... Just getting a bit bored of the game and would like to see some changes to once again add life back into it before it becomes just another game that loses players and goes by the wayside..

Hello, my name is Yuri and this is my suggestions.

I'll begin with the profit part to PGI.

-Champion mechs needs to be more attractive:
Add a unique color ( Different from the hero version please )
Increase the quirk value compared to the regular version of the same unit ( Just a little bit more, 5% or maybe 10% )
-Custom decals ( Heeey i wanna do a smile on my mech head, shut up and take my money )

-Cockpit itens:

Add custom mechpilot suit ( If i wanna wear a cowboy-like-futuristic-Suit, why not? )
Add more cockpit itens ( Something more alive this time, a cat sleeping or a puppy dog? )
Add warhorn with mechpilot voices saying things when kill the enemy ( Please make it looks real with radio communication quality )

Now the global part.

-Community Warfare:

Add matchmaking just like the public matches ( Solves the ghost drop problem and the ethernal waiting for player join the room )
Options to find a CW match:
.Attack
.Defense

Add NPC vehicles and aircraft ( Scripted AI will suffice, nothing too bright and hard, just put things to be there shooting and getting shot )

.Attack units
.Defense units

Add different faction musics at the beginning of every battle ( Faction holding the planet have the music at the beginning )

-Single player campaign:

Add coop and the solo version to the same campaign. ( Nothing too fancy, it can be the same missions )
Add bosses to the end of each mission ( Hero mechs would be nice to be bosses )
Add salvage itens ( Random please and with a percentage of chance )

-Cockpit:

Add a new mechpilot with life ( Nothing too hard, just make the pilot not look dead while we play the game )
.Small leg movements once and a while.
.Small chest movements.
.Joystick movements while we turn the mech or shoot ( Optional since this looks very complicated and alot of work )

-Maps and new modes:

Add city maps ( Urban enviroment )
Add more lunar maps ( Its soooo coool fight in moon-like-enviroment )
Add destructible objects, cars, and buildings ( Nothing too perfect, just not immortal stuff anymore )
Add convoy mode ( Armored, armed and with ECM )
.Attack the convoy
.Defend the convoy

-Pilot skill tree:

Add new pilot skill tree with more stuff.
.Weapon efficiency
.Armor efficiency
.Heat efficiency
Just examples offcourse.

-Mechbay:

Add more life to Mechbay ( People working in the mech and this sort of stuff )

Well, i could do this forever but i think this ones would be nice...

I did all suggestions thinking in time, balance and how hard it would be.
