Prime example for why I don't care about stats, not anymore. Climbed Mt. Tryhard once, didn't like the view. At all. You know I posted this tiny bit of info here just because, a little bit of bait and switch. Served it's purpose very well.

Your question is seriously why a Spider with three (3) energy hardpoints, one of the Batlemechs with the fewest hardpoints in the entire game and a tiny amount of tonnage to use them, can't carry a team to victory? If I wouldn't know you are trying to troll me I'd seriously doubt your mental capabilities. I like also that pointer to my leaderboard stats, you made an old man smile. Thank you so much for that. Also enabled the tier. Just for you.

PS: I intentionally disabled it earlier for baiting people like you. Now gimme that XP-bar comment, I can't wait. Or any other indication of your 180°. Oh how I love these forums... haha.

I'm not disappointed by your salt!! :D

ok, here we go:

u don't care about stats....because of your ones, of course, lol

About the spider..you must decide, dude. Is it good or not?
First you say yes, because of stats (that u don't care, lolol)..then, nope, spider cannot carry enough: only because it's a tiny 30 tonner... decide man, you say a point and then its opposite. Stats says you kill steal, BUT 1.09 are quite shite. And thas' it. Numbers >>>>>> your blablabla

aaaaaaaaaaand you are a very old man, if you think I'm disappointed of you and your bait!! LOLOLOL

your stats stay sh1te. Congrat about the bait.
Tier 1 with sh1te stats...and you are waiting for the obvious comment " Now gimme that XP-bar comment, I can't wait."!
but but but......You yourself are proving it!
Great bait: tier1 with sh1te stats... and you lament I'm trolling you?? :D :D :D

What else were you waiting? (I'm waiting you to say "see?? I told ya...the (auto) bait worked)
Improve your stats, then answer me again.

Meanwhile, enjoy forum, baits...and your NOT OP KDK.

lol

what?

I said that if you give Omnis freedom to customize, I'm saying people will make a **** ton of PPFLD builds that involve dual gauss as they can just lower the engine size. That is what you said.

Of course it is. wouldn't you not say that allowing grasshoppers to switch limbs is a bit excessive in how many hardpoints they can have? it would get 12E hardpoints. 12 Lily, 12.

or what about Atlases? would you not say you would outfit all of your Atlases with the 2B or ECM side torso?

the Summoners weaknesses got quelled quite a bit with the release of those 2 new summoners. it can now officially laser vomit, 6E. it's got a high mounted E hardpoint in each torso if youve got the pods. does that not cover a disadvantage it has?

that's the thing though. you may help other crappy Omnis, but you also allow even better ones to be that much more than. what they were optimized for.

you allow mechs to do as they please, then you'll really obeselete them IS battlemechs. go ahead, ask others on here, ask them if it's power creep or not to allow a Timberwolf to be customized like a battlemech but still can change limbs.

wow 12, 12!!!! my nova has 16, so what?

the grasshopepr isn't going to be a special awesome snowflake that way.

But when ya got 6 on the other team.. it makes for rough going, especially if your assaults don't wanna get out in front. I swapped to a nice long range build.. i wanted to brawl, but for some reason the assaults rather play long ball.. /shrug

That because assaults can't tank damage, the game is broken it takes 10 times more firepower to kill a spider/locus then it does a Direwolf.

Since this is an indication of a specific Mech needing to be nerfed, I want to bring the attention to other "offensive" chassis. There are a lot more, but I have a special selection I'd like to get adressed first.

I would hope, before folks assume "kill stealing" based off those results, they perhaps take a moment to divide the total damages by the total matches. That Spider is doing more than 418 per match. I often see KDK3s fail to even manage a third of that. I've got dozens of saved end match results with KDK3s that did less than 418. If a spider is kill stealing with those damage outputs, then what are KDK3s that do that damage doing that manage kills, if not kill stealing also. At what stage does the damage output not represent kill stealing to folks ? Also before pointing at Wendigo's leaderboard results...do stop and consider a lot of forum posters don't actively game like they did YEARS ago, and the leaderboards didn't exist at all until April (for FW) and July (for QP) respectively, long past when many cut back or outright quit bothering to play.

And to folks who question kill/death ratios in certain mechs vs the same mech having a low win/loss ratio... I'd point out something I've often said at the end of a great mech match for myself... "no matter how good I play, there are times when I cannot actually carry a team of heaping piles of stupid to victory" and I'd say the same applies to everyone else who's put up high kill games. Two nights ago I had a 7 kill 1200+ damage conquest game on river city in my ARC-5W. I could have possibly gotten to 9 kills if I wasn't having to pin down their entire team almost solo as it was. I knew it was going to be an loss from the get go when the charlie lance runs right past the collector point in front of them without stopping even briefly to cap it. I dropped bravo, moved three grids over to cap it, and then proceeded to start killing things from basically right there.

you will never sufficiently buff mechs like the summoner as they ahve bad hardpoints and bad preset configs.

Except the Summoner is actually good now, thanks to the Loyalty variant hardpoints.

And even before it gained those hardpoints, it was still decent, just not great.

Stop calling the suckonner good. You're seriously hurting my head by saying that. And if PGI hears you, they won't buff the non-loyalty variants, or even nerf them. I can't survive if they nerf my Summoner Prime. I've been holding out for ammo quirks this long, and I'm not letting PPC nipple users ruin it for me.

Well, I certainly performed good in mine, far above my normal performance.

My combined stats in the F and M (100% solo queue at Tier 2): 58 battles, 36 wins, 22 losses (1.64 W/L, 62.07% W/R), 64 kills, 27 deaths (2.37 K/D), 523 damage/battle.

That is by far my best performance in any mech I've played so far, beating my Timber Wolfs, Ebon Jaguars and Battlemasters.

For myself, I consider 1.2-1.3 W/L, 1.3-1.5 K/D and 350-400 damage/battle to be 'normal'. When I score well above that, I'm either very lucky, or I'm driving a very good mech.
And given the amount of terrible teams I had to carry hard with in my Summoners, I don't think luck can be blamed for that performance.

that just means you are bad in the other mechs, sry. Yes the new variant gave it some needed ST E hardpoint's to make it be less inferior, but it is still not on par with other choices.

Actually, it exceeds them in that specific role

It's cooler, faster, faster firing and more durable than any of those, while being an effective poptart.

I wish I could use those PeepNips before the inevitable quirk nerf.

It's the best poptarter to date.
put a m/l torso on the other l/m variant, put a tc5, and you can have 60% more speed.
And u have double peep with gauss speed, in a mech that jump high and it's also very fast in its class.

It's very fun and effective too.

Not likely; I can tell when it is the mech that is making me play well and not my skill.

And Gman puts it as Tier 1 in two of his up-to-date Tier Lists:

it must be nice to be able to buy a Kodiak and then INSTAGIB anything that isn't another assault mech, especially if you have a coordinated team of two QUAD Ultra-AC-10 utilizing the fact that the ghost heat for those builds for firing more than two at a time isn't NEAR as much as even a DUAL clan AC/20. I just literally had a match in which my buddy and I ran mediums with 50 armor on the front and ONE SHOT from each one and we were both dead. The KD-3 is some seriously unbalanced shite, and the only people defending it are the ones using this BS META build because they know that at some point it's going to get nerfed, so they're abusing it.

They multiplied the GH of UAC10s fifteen-fold

Considerably more than a pair of either AC20

What game are you playing? The Summoner is possibly the best Clan heavy right now. Look at its quirks. It's a humanoid mech that is faster, more agile, cooler, and tankier than a TBR or EBJ. There's no better ERPPC or laser vomit platform in the game. The Night Gyr is probably up there because of its crazy firepower, but the mobility is lacking.
And before you get into free tonnage and heat sinks, look at the heat gen stats and do the math. The TBR can't carry enough DHS to make up for the Summoner's heat efficiency; the EBJ can, but it's a ground-bound tin can.

I swear, people get so locked into their notions that "everybody knows this" that they don't even bother testing it out.

Stop saying that. If you say that, they are going to nerf the hell out of the entire chassis just because of the high mounts on the loyalty variants, thus making running them with anything BUT high mount nipples being even worse than it currently is. That, and Summoners have never been "good" before, so it's still extremely weird to say so. I don't like it.

Well now I have seen it all. The summoner is no where near great, especially since the meta for CW and most QP is ballistics. PPC nipples don't even make the list. Hell for clan side I can think of exactly one build (KDK3 gauss peeps sniper) that is run routinely and everything else is short range ballistics and small lasers. Trading at range doesn't happen in brawl play unless the other team tries to force it, and even if they try bum rushing objectives gets you the win.

Sorry Baulven, but that's so wrong, high tier quickplay is pretty much exclusively PPC/Gauss nowadays except for dakka Kodiaks, and the odd Troll or old meta build.

Factionplay will be slower to change as the chokepoint rushing doesn't suit this style on offense.
