Looking forward to see this Mech on the Battlefield !

Check the specs, compared to some other 40 tonners, not that fast... dunno about furious either ;)

Has anyone else looked at the release dates and wondered if someone wasn't trying to send a message?

I mean...
21 March 1943: failed assassination of {Godwin's Law}
6 June 1968: Assassination of Robert Kennedy (died of gunshots inflicted the day before)
4 July 1914: Funeral of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie, six days after their assassination

Oh look, the interesting variants are hiding behind the extra paywall again.

No thanks, I quit the game after I realised I ordered the huntsmans and for building the missle boat I wanted I would need to spend some extra cash. Never again.

Sorry, but you don't get any more money from me for those mechpacks.

Add some real content, the game is boring as hell and I still have 360days banked premium time I won't use

But you will keep complaining about the game you don't apparently play any longer. Because pissing on our cornflakes helps those of us who do still play it.

Ridiculous. You could find major historical events on EVERY day of the year.

Remember, remember!
The fifth of November,
The Gunpowder treason and plot;
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!

...unless of course you're american and they failed to teach you any history other than your own in school.

Not so sure - having just got/levelled the jenners, huntsman and griffins I'm struggling to get excited over more of what is bound to moistly be srm/ml etc builds. Posted Image

Well, ballistic weapons are quite heavy, so you do not see them on Lights or low-end Medium too often. And if you do, such designs often pay for it with limited ammo supply, low armor, low speed or minimal secondary weapons (or no backup weapons at all) or all of these things combined.

So it's not surprising that 'Mech designers usually go with light and compact energy and missile weapons.

think the reason for the lack of modules comes from the talk of upcoming changes to module and skill system they are unveiling at mechcon (same as them taking out the modules for the black friday sales)

Clan Wave 1 Bonus Modules
Please also note that in anticipation of upcoming changes to the Module and Skill systems (stay tuned for more details from Mech_Con!) we will be removing the Clan LTD Bonus Modules from the Clan Wave 1 Packs prior to the start of this Sale. All other items included with Wave 1 Packs, such as Faction Medallions, Bonus Premium Time, and Warhorns, remain.

Lack of modules was due to people buying the packs and then having modules they couldn't use, because they didn't have 15,000 GXP to unlock, also some modules were perceived as sub..sorry mediocre, compared to others so the compromise was decals even less people wanted.

See another example of P.G.I making things worse, because people grumbled about what they got, because they couldn't use it NOW!

I'm to lazy to find the link, but I believe there is a link to it from someone's post in the Bushwacker announcement thread

He just hasn't found a new forum to poop in.

I find it funny when they state they've quit the game but still check the news feeds... like that crazy chick that dumps you for reasons but she never moves on... just hangs around trying to remind you of your faults but never actively tries to finf her own happiness. So either chick is still into you (mwo) and in denial or she's nutso and should be ignored...

Pretty much the only reason I know about the Gunpowder treason is because I watched V for Vendetta.

That's pretty much the only reason for 99% of people, probably.

Especially people NOT from the United Kingdom.

a heavier Spider 5v? count me in
seriously this should be about as fast and jump as high as the SDR-5V if you take max engine and max jets, as well as having the potential for far more firepower.

unless I have miscalculated it should be on par with the fastest Mechs in the game in terms of speed.

I just hope that it somehow makes it in HBS Battletech, where none of that should matter, due to lack of hardpoint inflation (so no double-barreled nonsense) and the fact that it's a Turn-based game.

It depends on what's their deadline for 'Mechs. After all, their team must model and skin vehicles, buildings, etc. too.

Smart move to announce the mechpack on the forums, separate from the Town Hall. People are quick to dismiss the worth of Town Halls as just promoting mechpacks.

Me too.
I <3 assassin.
But, my fav medium is always been the Phoenix Hawk, and pgi managed to screwed it up completely.
Fool me once, shame on you...but you cannot fool me twice.
I'll buy this, only after seeing how tall is, its quirks, etc.
If I'll sense it will be crap like the Phoenix, I'll buy it for c-bills.

You'll be buying it for c-bills then, there have been lots of gripes about the Viper, and this is going to be larger and well I.S XL

Ticks another one of my beloved TT mech wants off. Insta-buy. Especially since I seem to do best in light and medium mechs in this game.
Now I just need my Clint, Whitworth, and Dervish and I'll be happy.

If it's the size of the Wolfhound and has a seemless transition from 2D to 3D, I can't imagine this thing being all too 'squishy', looks like it could spread damage well and heck, my Viper typically goes down to around 30-15% before croaking and that thing has got baby arms and weird hitboxes, granted CXL, but even so, this thing could be played as a support/skirmisher with no muss or fuss, the hitboxes will decide if it's viable to run this thing slightly slower, to act as a support to larger 'mechs really.
2xSRM4
2xLRM5
2xMPL
On the 21, it's not amazing, but it would provide the firepower for a Linebacking medium to keep the little buggers off the big guys and provide that little extra 'oompf' to the big guys fighting other big guys. God knows the engine, I can't theory craft to save my bum. It'd need some agility quirks, structure quirks and of course weapon quirks.

Basically, don't expect the world from this thing, but don't write it off just yet. I think it has a place in a 'mech bay as something worth using, also it's the first IS 40 tonner in like, four years. Clint next plz? Also Wasp and Stinger double fun times pack please.

Please. Also Commando IIC when you got the time. And PVE and all the other fun juicy stuff we'll get more deets on at Mechcon. (I hope)

Well okay, I'll buy it, but it's about 10 tons too heavy?

Great looking, I'll give you that - still have yet to use my PHX and I doubt the Bushwhacker will get much love, but this just may be a nice fit.

There are very few mechs, that i would buy without no knowledge of its hitboxes/size/quirks.
Those would probably be the Scorpion and Goliath. They're the only ones, i'd buy no matter how garbage they'd be (actually, them being garbage would make them even more special to me, because i'm stupid that way).

At this point, i'd probably even wait for the Vulcan to come out for c-bills to buy it (well, maybe i'd buy it, once i saw the in-game model on the last few days of the countdown. Probably).
