The lack of adequate compensation for previous skills and progress is absolutely appalling, I have 97 mechs, and hundreds of dollars put into this game, almost every single one i spent countless hours grinding three variants of in order to master at LEAST my favorite of the chassis variants, yet now with the compensation received on XP for one of my best mechs, which was mastered, I can get barely a third of the available skill cap and have less than half of the bonuses my mech had previously, not to mention that despite being "refunded" the XP I still have to spend over 1 million c-bills just to convert a single mech's experience points into "SP". which is just yet another pointless conversion cost. While I like the idea of not having to buy three of the same type of mech in order to level one up the insane cost of gaining any of these "New" skills, which are basically just the old ones broken into smaller more expensive pieces, and now out of the many mastered and many more elited mechs that I had I will have to pick maybe 5? of the mechs that I own to actually put skills on and then I will be out of c-bills and probably forced to sell variants that I only used for leveling but still liked to have. What a great surprise for me to get when trying to come back to the game after a long hiatus because one of my friends is trying to get into the game....
Edit: Also having to go through dozens of mechs converting the "historical" xp into regular xp just so I can then pay to convert the xp into "sp" is a real waste of time and pain in my butt. And the more I spend skill points and look at some of my mechs the more I realize I pretty much just lost 80% of the skills and efficiency of every single one of my mechs, especially the ones with x2 basics which can get nowhere near that level of bonuses now, what a complete rip-off and joke.
Edit 2: Ok, I have to roll back some of my complaints, as I realize now you get "historical" skill points as well as general skill points, so I do not in fact have to convert experience on very much, or pay to convert xp, but that leads to another complaint, the fact that this whole system is very obscure at first and there is little to no explanation or guide or tips on how to use it at all, instead I launch the game for the first time in months and am greeted by a giant "refund ledger" popup saying hey, remember the 100 million c-bills you spent on modules? yeah those are all "sp" or "gsp" or whichever now and you get 2 million c-bills and some MC, go nuts kid. and then literally no explanation of even WHY this refund was received until you go digging looking for update notes.
