Expanding on the heat glows, could you tell us which components glow and what are some of the variables that affect the intensity and duration of the heat glow (ie, In the videos, are we only seeing damaged armor and slag glowing, or are we also seeing heat-sinks and damaged internals?) Are the heat glowing affects complete, or is there still work to be done on the animations? (i.e. differentiation between heat glows from heat-sinks vs from armor damage, and differences based on shadows, ambient lighting and other environmental effects?)

1. As the game progress... years into the story line (whatever it may become), as new mech types, variants and weapons come into play, will we see some mech and variants and or weapons fall off and be taken out of play?

The reason I ask question 1 is lets say a variant or 2 of a few mech become older and obsolete and they are taken out of the game (meaning no one from that point on can buy those mech or variants any longer) this would make those mech and variants (if people still have them in their mech bays) very rare mech and it would still be cool to see these rare mech and variants still being used from time to time (again, as long as people still have them in their mech bays to use)

2. what are some very unique map settings that we may get later?

3. Besides the Clans, are there any plans for any other faction types at some point? Like St. Ives Compact, Magistracy of Canopus, Taurian Concordat, Outworlds Alliance and so on?

Are there plans for in the future to allow players to include the larger periphery factions for players to declare for, like what's been done with the major houses?

This I support. If the Devs have all these borderworlds being faught over and don't have a way to have anything other than the Natives deffend then it would be sad. FRR has a comparable set of worlds to the Concordat and Magistracy, would be a shame to have them<the periphery> overrun because 'they don't have Story/history relivance', by players.

Lore wise... the TC puts out some nice Mechs. :) 3 plants make Marauders, and Warhammers.. not something to sneeze at. and other smaller mechs, and Union class dropships.


Ok my, Questions to the Devs.

1) Anti Missle System, any plans for the Laser AMS at this time? would mounting 2 or more AMS be effective or will only 1 be allowed?

2) Solaris7 and Wagering on Matches as a way to Train/ Make z Monies....?

3) Will there be a re scaling of the Mechs? from the screen shots I've seen and the Vids the scale seems to be off a lot ;)

ugh, an open ask the devs thread and i cant think of anything relevant.

mmm, this is probably covered somewhere but are there any PLANS at this time to make change the visual appearance of the mech as weapon loadouts are changed?

oh i thought of something.

will in game Cbill costs reflect canon, or at least reflect the sarna wiki.

AND if so or even if not so, will you tell us how many Cbills the founders pack(s) actually buy?

hokay hear goes.

i am a pilot in real life and an avid flight sim person. as such, i have both a 3 axis joystick as well as a set of foot pedals that give me three extra axis(sliding the pedals forward and backward or rotating the pedals independently by pushing on your toes).

my question is whether or not i will be able to use these axis to their full potential. mainly i have an idea that i would like to use one rotation axis on my pedals to move forward and the other rotation axis to move backward. as well as the sliding axis (both pedals are linked together for this like airplane rudder pedals) as lower body rotation control. will this be available? what preparation have you put into people who have pedal setups similar to to mine?

How are variants implemented (in conjuction with XP gain)? AFAIK you must unlock the variants, but does that mean you can somehow 'switch' to them or do you have to buy a new mech for each? Or in other words: do i have to buy several non-founder mechs to max out the perks on my founder mech and sell them afterwards?

Will the equipment and weapons on the MechLab vary from world to world (time to time)?

Will I be able to stockpile weapons on a core world and trade on a fringe one?

Will there be a kind of Training-Mode like in "Tribes:Ascend" where you can test out all available mechs and Weapons on a Bot-Map to be sure that the Mech/Weapon suits oneself?
Would be quite nice to test BEFORE one invests his money, not only "nice" but also "fair" :-)

Question 1: If XP and C-bill earnings for users are used in stat tracking, will the C-bill and XP modifiers for premium users be ignored so all users are compared on a single standard? This way a premium account user will not be able to "buy" their way into the rankings for experience and Merc Corp earnings.

Question 2: With Thermal and Night vision already making an appearance, is there any change Magscan, or magnetic imaging, will also be present?

Question 3: Will severe ammo explosions create splash damage on mechs standing too close together?

Will there be an equal number of 'mechs in each weight-class? Medium 'mechs make up 40% of the battlefield (or so) in 3049, and I wondered if that will be reflected in 'mechs released.

Sorry to post twice!

I heard a rumor that you will only be able to organize 1 lance in any company sized engagement. Is this true, or can you organize all 3 lances yourself? Can you please go into detail?

If you have multiple modifiers that effect the same stat, are the modifiers added together then applied or are they applied separately? For example, with a Founders Mech (+25% CB) and a Premium Account (+50% CB) and you earn 1000 CB as a base what would the equation look like:
  • (1 +(.25 + .50)) * 1000 = 1750
  • 1.25 * 1.50 * 1000 = 1875

I'm not typically an RPer, but the more you look, the more you see 1 or more RP community/communities showing up and/or growing. In my past experience there can be some friction between RPer's and Non-RPer's and that's never good. Are there steps being taken to give RPer's an outlet that is easily accessible but not overlapping normal/Non-RP communications, so as to help prevent Mr. Random Guy from picking a fight with Mr. RPer?

A Jenner D will always be a Jenner D.

If you want to level up a Jenner F, you will have to buy one. (devs have said this, but may have changed)
