They consolidated quirks to save room on the coding level for more additions to the game. It doesn't mean the weapons wil be usable by both sides. It's to save lines of code.

Repair tool, or deleting cache might help.
*I am still not sure if FPS are back to normal after the second-prior-patch. It would be nice if the devs said - yep, we did dial some minimum graphical settings up....
This is the thread on that: https://mwomercs.com...ger-load-times/

If cache deletion and the repair tool don't work, be sure to check the thread or email support. There's not a mass of people complaining, which means the issue isn't affecting everyone - and is thus likely fixable.

Nah, I think if a nerf is required, it'll probably be to cooldown, heat, and/or damage. Reason why is that lowering the range just makes it a pinpoint machine-gun, which doesn't really justify the heat and extra space. Given that the range bracket for the "machine Gauss" weapons puts them at the precise range point of a variety of Clan and IS weapons, I think that's one of the design purposes of the weapon, and pulling range back would reduce the variety of build options overall.
But hey, I've been wrong before. =)

WHAT THE ACTUAL ****?!
I bought the DWF-C pack when it came out because of those amazing "Enhanced imaging" goggles. I got 3 of them and that was sad but okay.
Then PGI announced they'd do a "warhorn sale" and I got really excited because now I could maybe get more of my beloved "Enhanced imaging" warhorns. And guess which Warhorn was NOT included in the sale? - Right, the ******* "Enhanced imaging" warhorn!
Fast forward to today.
PGI decided to give us a DUNCAN ******* FISHER warhorn! THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND! Right in my cockpit, commenting on my kills! I was ready to empty my bank account when I saw it... there is NO WAY to get more of those warhorns! ARE YOU ******* KIDDING ME?!
You make 2 ICONIC warhorns (3 if you count that cicada one, but since that's only funny if you're in a Cicada I'll leave it out), and NONE of them can I buy?
I SAY THIS HAS TO END!
I hereby announce Project MAWAGA: Make Warhorns Great Again!
And we will force them to build a warhorn! A beautiful warhorn! And they will pay for it!
Seriously guys, just let us buy those ******* amazing warhorns!

- 1.5x heavier
- Crippled range
- Crippled indirect arc rendering their higher indirect velocity moot
- Worse direct velocity
- More vulnerable to AMS in a way that's multiplied by the worse velocity
- Can't benefit from LRM quirks
- Less damage worth of ammo per ton
- Refuses/wastes team synergy from TAG and NARC
You might think the moderate improvement in spread compared to the LRMs is a selling point worth something, but TAG, NARC, and Artemis bridge all or most of that gap in practical, affordable, reliable ways to get pretty much the same amount of damage on torso segments while keeping the aspects that make LRMs good intact. The last potential saving grace for Thunderbolts would have been faring better in close quarters, but they're still not effective enough at self defense to justify sacrificing SO MUCH tonnage that could have gone to backup weapons AND undermining your chances of actually winning your ideal engagement. In their current state, Thunderbolt missiles are mostly just a disservice to your teammates that you equip so you can have slightly less pathetic death throes when your targets inevitably reach you.

There... I fixed it!
But seriously :
If you guys still can make/add new weapons to the game then I would really like to see MRM 5 added to the game!
We have LRM 5 and ATM 3 so why not add MRM 5 to the game too ?!
Some of my mechs could really use them!
Another thing I would like to know :
Are these Thunderbolt Missiles meant to work like Clan ATM Missiles by any chance ?
Having something like those for the IS Mechs would be really cool
And last but not least :
Does this new Plasma Cannon thing for the Clan Mechs work as Light PPC at the IS side or not ?
Does it DISABLE ECM and/or Stealth Armor for a short period or not ?
