(Actually I used to play Clans all the time in Tabletop so I'm very earnestly going to attempt NOT to do so in MWO by way of a change)

As the Official Timber Wolf Fan Boy, I'd offer my services free of charge to test drive any early builds you have.

There were some indications in the novels that Clans had some form of reversable sterilization in play, so normally warrior caste didn't have to worry about pregnancies at all. The other castes probably dealt with pregnancies like we do IRL - natural births, abortions, contraception, etc.

Just remember, according to canon the Hunchback IIC is a suicide mech for clan warriors who have disgraced themselves. Build it accordingly so I can watch the forums blow up about how it's under/over-powered.

That should prove to be mildly entertaining.

1) Yes, the toys are excellent, and usually better (1on1) versus the IS counterparts.
2) I like the Honor System that the Clans use, to try and make every battle interesting (And evenly matched, normally), to not waste resources, as well as the Trial System.
I probably missed a point or two, but I'm sure someone will chime in.

Having read my share of the Clan books, the women of the Clans (At least the Trueborn ones) are always on some kind of birth control method. They aim to avoid pregnancy. But those that DO conceive, usually follow through with the pregnancy, and the Freeborn offspring are usually sent off to a lower caste, to serve somewhere other than the front lines.
On the subject of Clan books, I want to read more. Anyone know a website that lists (And/or sells) Clan books? Looking for titles, authors, etc.

Trueborn women have their biochemistry altered so they won't ovulate anymore. Peri in the Jade Phoenix books undergoes some kind of treatment to reverse those effects again.
If you want Clan books then I can give you a list:
Wolf's Dragoons (former Clan, you might like it)
Wolves on the border
Wolf Pack
Jade Phoenix Trilogy (Aidan Pryde's story arc)
Way of the Clans
Bloodname
Falcon Guard
Blood of Kerensky Trilogy (Clan Invasion)
Lethal Heritage
Blood Legacy
Lost Destiny
Post Clan Invasion and pre Great Refusal at Strana Mechty
Main Event (Black Thorns vs Clan Jade Falcon)
D.R.T. (Black Thorns vs Clan Smoke Jaguar)
Refusal War:
Bred for War
Natural Selection (Red Corsair incident)
I am Jade Falcon
Malicious Intent (Refusal War aftermath)
Twilight of the Clans series:
Exodus Road - Blaine Lee Pardoe (August 1997)
Grave Covenant - Michael A. Stackpole (September 1997)
The Hunters - Thomas S. Gressman (December 1997)
Freebirth - Robert Thurston (February 1998)
Sword and Fire - Thomas S. Gressman (August 1998)
Shadows of War - Thomas S. Gressman (September 1998)
Prince of Havoc - Michael A. Stackpole (December 1998)
Falcon Rising - Robert Thurston (March 1999)
Post Great Refusal:
Operation Audacity (Adam Steiner vs Clan Jade Falcon)
I never read any of the Dark Age books, so I can't tell which ones have Clans in them.
