Reason for joining: I wan't to earn my citizenship fighting for the CC, as they are the most selfless of nations. I have nothing but the highest regard for the Korvin Doctrine and the Lorix order. The Sarna mandate is less to my liking, but we all make sacrifices to better the whole. I will defend our worlds to the death.
Mech Preference: Medium/Heavy. Specifically close range brawler mechs such as Cataphract or Hunchback.
Style: Defense. By this I mean I can play personal bulldog for a command unit, hunter-killer on urban/close quarters targets, ambush predator in conjunction with "playing rabbit" scouts, etc.
(OOC Mechwarrior experience: Battletech tabletop, Mech Commander 1 & 2, Mechwarrior 2, 2 mercs, 3, 4, 4 mercs. All solo play, but would really like to join an organized team. Let me know if there's a way to do just that.)

Background on MW is the Commander games and mostly Warrior 3 and 4.
Liao always seemed interesting to me. I've read up on them recently and i like the mechs of them so far like the Catapult.

Been a big Battletech fan since I was 12, and played Mechwarrior 2 for the first time. Since then I've played every Battletech/Mechwarrior game I could get my hands on, and ended up getting into tabletop Battletech once I got older and had enough spare cash to throw at it.
Started off as a Clan fan, since it seems like they're designed to appeal to 12 year olds, but moved on to the IS once I realized there was actually some depth and personality there. Plus no one likes playing Clans in TT. The biggest thing that drew me into House Liao was the mechs: Eyleuka, Catapult, Raven, Yu Huang, Anubis, and Duan Gung, and are all either Cappy used or designed. Never really like the Vindicator though. Picked up some source books, and the underdog thing appealed to me, as did the the fact that 1 for 1 Capellan pilots are among the best in the Inner Sphere.
As far as preference, I can't really say until I play the game. A huge fan of lights in TT and Mechwarrior 3, but they were pretty much unplayable in Mechwarrior 4 multiplayer. I just hope Death Commado skins and decals are an option in game.

Nice to see someone with a later era Liao mech knowledge. People always think just of Raven, Vindicator and that's it.

Fast Medium/Heavy mechs
I like to play for the underdog and the underhanded factions in games, so this looks like the place for me. Lots of MW 4 experience back in the day.

Background: MechAssault, read many of the Battletech novels, played the boardgame, MW2-4, MPBT3025, and sorta related - ChromeHounds (Started a unit named House Liao)
I tend to roll in support/long range mechs, or light anklebiters.
Other interests: electronics, reading.
I chose House Liao because after reading the fiction, it seemed that shooting Davion mechs would be the most satisfying in MPBT (IT WAS), and because I'm a fan of the underdog.

Yes, you squawked me correctly. The true leader of the new Super Star Leauge squaawketh near, and with him the holy squaawk of Lowtax, or as you featherless would call it, the "Word"
I am but a forebearer of these squaawks so that you all may know and bask in squaakular sunlight with many fat grubs in your belly. No longer will the Cappellan Confederation be led by inept human squaawking. With the joining of the Tetatae warriors, the enemies of green things will know our squaawks, and squaawk in fear.
Some of you may squaawk: "But how did the Tetatae squaaawk between the stars and to the great inner sphere of the Autobots?"
Squaawk read your lore, scrubsquaawks. Tetatae are better with technology than humans, once introduced to it there is no limit to our squaaawks. Jump ships have twice squaaawked between the stars to visit us, and never squaawked back. We simply resquaawked them, and on the way said hello to the DCMS on Far Country, and ate them. Many squaawks were squaawked, and our beaks did run red.
Tetatae may pilot mechs, but we squawk only with those that are created in our image. The squaawks of the legs on the Catapault, Raven, and Stalker all squaawk with the squaawk of Lowtax, and thus the Noble Tetatae Warrior.
Squaawk with me now, for ruin and worlds end! SQUAAAWK! SQUAAAWK!

Good to see Addy and a few others took on the role of welcoming everyone.
House Liao will do fine with great people like you all fighting in her mechs!
