yepp, was down again for a litte while, i really don't know why except i see a high amount of packet loss on both sides. the server itself is running but is not really accessable. i now have installed some tools to track the time the packet loss occures and hopefully my provider can tell me what it's going on there.
for me it looks like some kind of ddos attack, not on my site but a site in the same data center.

My question is, is there an issue with my name being too long, and thus forcing the mechlab to "wrap-around" it's set width parameters, and skewing the display of all the attributes that follow the title? If so, is there a way that I can change my name to be shorter?
(Screenshots displaying the trouble. First is the lab working properly with me logged out, the second is with me logged in.)
Working
Logged in and not working
I can confirm this problem when the game servers are down and u login into your mechlab.
As soon the gameserver are up again, also the layout on your page is correct.
I think this has something to do with the to red/green lamps display the server status when its down.
Also this happens for empty layout, stock layouts or already saved layouts. Tested on FF, Safari, Chrome and IE. And regulary is use only Chrome, so the other didnt have your page in their own cache.

Thanks for the addition of the date on the crib sheet, it is really helpful to determine whether builds are valid over time. Tonight I'm wondering if you have had any suggestions regarding the Mech Bay feature and sorting it somehow?
As is today, it is sorted by class (love that you can shrink it by clicking on the class) but now we are seeing a lot of mechs coming out and with multiple builds on each mech things can get a little hard to find. I'm up to 40+ different mechs with 1-4 builds on each myself.
Have you considered to sort by Mech weight or even name of model (and hide all others)? I don't know if this is a problem for the users but we know for a fact that there will only be more released over time.
Ideally, and this is probably the hardest to do, would be some way of filtering on weight, mech but also properties and abilities? Say, if you want to find all builds with 80+ kph? Or something that uses Large Lasers? There's also the aspect of not making it too unfriendly to users ofc.
I'm rambling a bit at 02:00 am but I think you see what I'm getting at, if someone else has suggested it, my apologies for taking up time. Thanks again for a site I use daily.

You think you can fix this? You disable (turn red) engines that we can't use because of weight but you don't about slots. When I turn on Ferro-Fibrous, I often go below 12 slots free and at engine selection, XL engines are available up to the ones I can't load because of weight but they all should be unavailable because obviously I don't have enough slots.
Thanks!

Can you add the movement type each mech has and provide a movement type list of some sort? It would be beneficial to have a list that shows what mechs fit into which categories....

I swear it used to be 4, but now your site lists it as 3.

I love it too much, though, because now I'm beginning to have a problem: I have too many saved loadouts and it's getting (very) hard to find what I'm looking for.
It'd be great if we could have -- perhaps as an option -- the kind of menu for the Mechbay that you have on the "mech select" button.
But even with having to manually scroll through dozens of medium loadouts, it's still an incredibly amazing site. MWO would not be the same (or maybe even possible) without it.

not sure what you mean, the dmg is 2 per ac2 a max alpha of two ac2 whould be 4.
one ac2 has a dps of 3.85. But as far as i remember nothing changed here.

Only: I hope the new layout isn't too different. I really like the "look and feel" of your current site.

the new version will be ui 2.0 ish.
i also switching some of the js library's.
I finished the map's part of the site with the new libs and the front page is almost ready.
I' also working on responsive design and the mechlab itself.
the general look and feel will stay the same but colors will differ and i'm trying out things on the mechlab.
if i think i'm ready to show something i will post screenshots of the process.

Max alpha is the name given to how far you can go up the heat scale before you incur heat penalties.
eg it is 6 for a medium laser.
I thought your site used to show it as 4 for an AC2, but after finding the official PGI thread, it definitely is 3.
