Again what should Gold Ammo bee in MWO? Thunder LRMs? Seeker? Armor Piercing? Precision Rounds?
Not any ammunition type is really better as normal ammunition

Canon-speaking, there couldn't be any gold ammo like WoT has (no disadvantages to the added benefits) but for a developer offering something like gold ammo can be very tempting to increase their revenue. The combination of canon- and cash- reasons is basically why I don't want to see them (which is what this thread is about, not if it exists in the canon).

Nice to see such a point of view, like you have no colours becides white and black. Grinders and nerds are not the base of how the game should begave itself, battlestats, doesnt matter, too casual means too simple, having no need of brainwork at all, mechwarrior 3 and mechwarrior 4 to compare for example. You dont need to play 24|7 to be good, just a bit skill and experience.

It would be some version of every type of ammo/weapon that does signifigantly more damage than normal.

Every 'mech CANNOT have JJ's. You're only allowed to put JJ's on (or take them off of) a 'mech variant that has them equipped by default.

Legging is shooting your opponent's leg until it is destroyed, severly crippling his movement. Legged 'mechs are typically sitting ducks unless they have JJ's.

Not User Interface (UI) mods, those are great, I mean forum mods

I had heard earlier in this thread that every mech COULD have them thats why I said that. If the devs have said otherwise, my bad.
Again... this "legging" sounds like a good tactical move. Man, it sounds like what ppl HATE more than anything, is being tactically smart. If its a fast mech... go for the legs to cripple it. Thats not cheap, thats smart
How do you keep ppl from, doing that... invulnerable legs?

They (STO) did the ship battles fine enough and the avatar combat is lackluster and unimaginative.
Please, keep to Mechs only!

That would be a HUGE turn off for me. If I fire at something, unless theres something between me and the target, my gauss round should hit. Not "oh crap it deflected right off the cockpit glass" crap that happens on a solid hit in WoT.
Yeah that is one of my complaints with WoT, you fire at a flat side straight on and it ricochets. That being said, unless you are standing still there should be some varience on where you aim and where your round hits, especially with projectile weapons.
