But it only takes 10% of the active voters giving a 0 to destroy any legitimacy of the rating system. The only way a game deserves a 0 is if it blew up your computer and amputated your legs. Seriously, a 0 means there is no art, no sound, no weapons, no textures, no animations, no models, no maps, no scores, no other players.

Maybe all these people just haven't figured out how the installer works and have playing their desktop icons for a year?

Lets be fair, that's more fun than the game itself, it has no music, and it very often has no textures.

I'm pretty sure the dude who said the game deserves a 7 but he's giving it a 10 to counteract the 0's is about as close to white knighting as a videogame review can be.

made my own review... gave 7/10 to MWO, 4/10 to PGI. There, I separated the 2, as it should have been.

Makes sense, since your title was somewhat incorrect. "Reviews are In" makes it sound like a set in stone final judgement. Still an evolving (in theory) f2p onlinegame, with only a few reviews, from pretty obviously ******** reviewers. If that is what we deem empirical these days, no wonder so many people need tin oil hats.

Yup. Ever try to get communication of any sort from EA? Oy vey.

Oh, it's okay that they edited it, I still think people should know what was the original title.

This is why no one with half a brain pays attention to user reviews on Metacritic. Because they get vote brigaded all the time.

Yeah that's why you vote brigaded there to give it 10s.

That sure showed them.

What about if 10% of the active voters are White Knights handing out 10's "to offset all the other trolls handing out 0's?"

Then the game ends up with a deserved 4.7.

It's a V1.0 software product. Do know of any recent significant piece of software that ran flawlessly on initial release? I didn't think so.

For the people saying I should separate PGI from the game itself, I can see that from your POV, but from my POV, I cannot as it was PGI that created this game. Terrible business practices should not be tolerated even if you like the game and it has a direct reflection on the game itself because PGI and IGP are running the game at the moment.

Is the game good? Meh. There's still a lot more that could have been done that was put to the wayside. Is the game stable and playable? For the most part yes, and PGI has succeeded in that regard. But again, there are a lot of features that were promised to have been put into the game upon game launch that were not delivered today. Now, that doesn't mean that PGI could pull this off and make all of that happen in the next few months. But because PGI has broken the trust in the past, they could repair things in the future.

I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but their past track record makes me doubt they will. I hope and pray that I'm proven wrong, because I really want this game to succeed. If this game has to have a rough and rocky start, so be it, but I'm hoping for PGI to turn this around make this a quality game in the future. And I'm not saying this to be a troll or a jerk here. I want this game to succeed, but I have my doubts.

and what are the dudes who know the game is probably a 5-7, but are ******** and give it 0s?

Not supporting either argument, just curious? Since apparently, dishonest toxic negativity is acceptable and even a cherished, attribute on Online Forums, but optimism (even naive optimism) is to be reviled and ridiculed?

Gotta say it speaks well to our society.

This game is a 5-6 at best. It's featureless, ugly, performs terribly, has no working social components, it's gameplay is stilted and incredibly unbalanced, it's full of badly designed overly complex and fully hidden systems that will never be explained to new players, etc. That said, it's not a virus, and it doesn't have the number of crash bugs as your average 3/10 movie tie in game.

The fact that so few people are giving it the yellow scores it deserves speaks to just how few people outside of the founders community have played this game, and it shows explicitly that the founders are fighting over the IP, not this game.
