Oh I get it. You like to argue semantics instead of the point. MWLL is not licensed or supported. It is not advertized or monetized. It is fun in its own right but it is irrelevent to the discussion here. MWO remains the only relevent MW game on the market in regards to my point earlier (about how many lore hounds leave the game vice those that stay).

Were I incorrect in that comment, MWLL would have a much greater following than it does now.

And yet here are the majority of the lorehounds.....not MWLL.

I was always saying MWLL still lives, ergo an alternative toMWO does exist.
And not all the lorehounds are still here. Well, i am here because my Clan is here and i enjoy posting in these forums, but i play MWLL too, currently in a tournament. Many long-time veterans are playing it..

Right now it is not licensed nor supported but i only meant it was alive and when the project started it had a non-commercial license. MWO may be relevant but it is not the only one and we have been trying to make people know MWLL in these months. I have seen personally quite a few players tired of MWO coming to play MWLL..

It is difficult, if not impossible to dismiss the games that came before MWO, simply because they felt more complete and some of them actually are and still beat MWO in critical aspects.

To me it looks like MW3 nailed the simulation aspect, whereas MW4 nailed the multiplayer. MWLL nailed the visuals, whereas MWO still has to prove its mettle, simply because it does not excel in anything right now. Each of the titles that came before it achieved things that no other MW title achieved before. Maybe it's going to be CW integration or a solid integration of Clan tech that does not break the balance.

MWO development is not faster than MWLL's one, now. They are both dead. Main difference is: MWLL is actually a decent game.

it WAS licensed AND supported. Until PGI came.

I think you misunderstood.

When last version was released, it WAS a fully licensed product.
Devs can't just add new features.

But every content you find in that game, has been used under license.
So, whoever plays that game, is still actually playing an official MechWarrior game.

That's my point.

I don't know why some of you guys are so worried about a difference in dps/tonnage when in other areas of the game that already exist you just blink at it. How do you suppose they are supposed to implement clan vs. IS with no crosstech without nerfing the clan mechs somehow? 10 vs 12?
The answer is that the clan mechs are not supposed to be balanced to the IS mechs, someone else pointed out that the clan invasion is stopped by the clans wierd battle rules. So the balance question is irrelavent on this topic, unless the clan mechs are nerfed so hard that they are just different chassis, and that would be sad.
Im trying to decide if i should buy the clan pack, money is on the card, and you guys dont help much. Just complain alot; jump jets, poptarting, ghost heat, 3rd person view bla bla bla.
ARe all you NBT nerds come here and still complaining about the servers that don't brawl 24/7 too, lol?

But really, you have talked me out of it I think. Not very many of you enjoy the game still it seems and that kind of investment now seems foolhardy.

If you are looking for a balanced unbiased opinion, you are in the wrong place. This forum is home to the likes of chemie, blurry, and featherwood, who seem to get off on misery and division. They spread these things with flowery language masking contentless rant posts or just simple insults aimed at PGI and anyone stupid enough to listen/get close.

If I didn't enjoy this game, i wouldn't play it every damned day. It could be better, but I believe in it, so i would say go ahead and buy your clan pack. Someone surely disagrees and will tell you the clan pack isn't worth the money, ultimately it's up to you, make the choice yourself, and never mind what us nerds say.

I read both of russ's forum posts about 3rd person view, and have been seeing how its implemented in game, (this from the perspective of a 3rd person poptarter who could take on MG in MW4), and now i would call out people who are raging about it like that loaded dice thread, and call them freaking morons. sry but really, thats what they are.
This 3rd person view has no tactical advantage at all in game.

So yeah, I bought the Ryoken pack, was my favorite jump sniper in mw4 with reflective armor.
ps , please implement CW

yeah , i realize this ryoken doesnt have jj, dont freak out, lol

All I want is a reinforcement package that has Mad dog and Hellbringer.

I agree, and I feel it is fairly likely. Those are two iconic 'Mechs (especially the Mad Dog, but Hellbringer was my childhood favorite).

Mmhm. I even managed to fix the Hellbringer Primes issues of armor and heat with the flexibility of armor value changes in MWO. Totally viable platform that I would love to see. Would also be one of,if not the, first ECM heavy in the game.

Well said... I agree that's why I bought them a cake and said keep up the good work :( I felt they deserved thanks and a treat after reading these toxic forums day in and out.

I could never be a mod I would be way to ban happy and have an example forum set up to list all the banned offenders and what they said to get them banned. I would call it the MWO HPG Manifold Prison. NAME AND SHAME!

That said I feel for the poor mods of this place of hatred.

Just thank PGI for never allowing me to mod  A lot of you would not be here anymore. I would IP ban too and if I find you use a proxy I would ban that too B)

Well i got the smallest, the Uller Package. it allows to get all the monthly rewards.. (including 30 days Premium, colors, etc).

Might upgrade to a Thor, if the game goes in the right direction with CW.
And i stay Kuritan.

I did the same thing and had the same idea as John McFianna. But i may upgrade to Dire Wolf later before considering higher.

Why? Any gold mech gets you the masakari package, so the a la carte option was a bit wasted....

Guy, you need to take that picture from inside and outside, the same frame then show what an awesome advantage 3rd person view is o.O
Would you be surprised if you could see that same junk from inside as well?
The 3rd person camera is real close on the mech, and your mech covers the bottom half, pretty good misinformation that.
Old time poptarters dont even use this 3rd person view.
ITS a non-issue, and the people who are raging like that loaded dice dork, are out of thier minds.

Anyway, back to the clan pack, HEY could I get some kind of special clan mod with my ryoken pack?

I did not take the pic, just found it on google (i remember i have seen it somewhere in a thread) so do not ask me

However, looking at the height of the Atlas' head, i think it is safe to say that you could NOT get the same info in 1st person view. Those rocks are quite tall actually. But after all this is speculation.

About the legs.. Those i have never understood! How can you help a new player navigate if you do not show them their 'Mechs' legs? I think they should have put the camera like MW3 and solved both the issues.

Posted Image
You see your legs and you have for sure no advantage of any sort. Just lower a bit the "Z" value of the camera and drag it a bit on the right on the X axis. Easy! :)

And it is pretty cool!

EDIT: forgot a "not" which totally changes the meaning of a key sentence! -_-
