Because, and let me just give you a scenario. Say that somehow Elo comes into play when determining matching for CW. What's to stop a team from tanking the Elo for their second best weight class and hold it in reserve for CW, where they'll dominate the battlefield when using those mechs?
Seems to me, that would be a higher level of abuse than someone gaining CBills or XP at an accelerated rate, when all it effects is their personal equipment.
