We need to create a decal using guide, where to place images responsibly.

I like the decals. The eye in the pyramid mason style one is cool. The Roman God symbols are nice. I usually keep them on the smaller size in a complimentary color.

If someone stands out in a fashion that you don't like ........ "Shoot 'Em" ,,,, That'll fix their wagon.

[Redacted] I said "moving on" as in, I am done with this argument with Navid A1, what needs to be said between us, as been said, and repeated, and retread again, ad infinitum. Thus, I have nothing more to say on the matter and am moving on.

I guess that is how decals are going to stay.

There is nothing that can be done now. That is how it is.

I just hope they improve the quality of the decals and make them not overriding the entire mech base texture behind it.
It should not be over laser lenses or metallic joints.

I never wanted them and I simply asked for the option to turn them off for MY display; you can still have your laughable immersion if you want it and enjoy all the mech dongs you can get.

As for the rest of your fact-free personal attacks, you have still failed to address the one main question: why should EVERYONE be forced to see silly decals just because YOU think they are a good idea? You think they are immersive - I think they are a joke. You think they are a great feature - I think they are a waste of resources that could have been better spent addressing actual issues in the game. All I asked for the was the the option to not display them on MY screen; you can still have them. It is the nadir of idiocy to post a many paragraph long reply explaining why adding display options to the game are bad when they in no way affect you!

At least these forums have a switch I can use to ignore useless content, such as your posts and "reasoning." Have a nice life, not that I actually care.

IT IS AND WAS AN INTENDED GAME FEATURE OF MWO

just for you in BIG readable letters to make sure you cannot oversee it again.
It' like hats ans trinkets in TF2.
customisation in APB
knifes and gunskins in CS:GO
.
.
long list of all othe games with customisation as a efature one cnanot turn off
.
Designign cars in NFS online
Weapons in planet explorers

So again? why should such a feature as it is it exists in many many many many games be possible to be disabled just there is a tiy amount of people don't liking it?
MWO has a ton of more priorised issues that need to be imporved than catering such a few peoples need to remove a feature.

are those deployment colors? Nope.

But I guess Phranken and Cobra and Plaid Paintjobs are acceptable but silly decals (which are militarily appropriate) are not?

Nice....the third one down is my old squadron when I was in the Navy - VFA-113

I don't really mind if people want to put visibility markers on their mechs. Once I pepper them, the decals will wear off.

The only thing I really don't like is the ability to conceal hitboxes on cockpits. That seems off to me.

those pics are from a Tiger Meet
its special get together for units that have a cat based unit

No it isn't. The third from the bottom is an actual paint scheme on a F/A-18. It was for VFA-113 which isn't on your Tiger list there. They actually painted it like that.

Posted ImageOk something Bishop posted had me going nuts. I am huge fan of nose art. He posted the image below. The US Navy V4-84 aka the Jolly Rogers (also know in Robotech as Roy's elite Skull Squadron) where an elite unit off CVW-8. The most well know fighter jet was the F-14 aka the tomcat. A primary long missile was the Aim-54 aka the slammer which sadly actually has no confirmed kills. It was meant to kill the Russian Bombers at long range. When the F-18 hornet aka bug replaced the F-14 tomcat the Aim-54 was also discontinued. The only tomcats left are with Iran and at most they have 2 flying. Any 200 is a restored war bird on display and travels to airshows. Sorry for the rant, it was driving me nuts lol

Decals still need an off switch. Plain and simple. I hate them and I'm less inclined to play the game as long as I have to see them. I know I'm not alone in this, and as I see it, MWO needs all the players that they can get these days.

Fun fact ... they don't. All that'll survive the ravages of the clan invasion will be a pile of pristine dickbutts. Posted Image
