Override now is push O BEFORE you shutdown, which prevents shut down, if you forget O you shut down for the damn duration.
Why make heat management that much more difficult. I'm going toe to toe in my Atlas performing a beautiful dance of explosions and lasers. Now in the middle of that I have to pre-emptively prepare for heat shutdown and reach ALLLLLLL the way over to O or take my hand off of the mouse.

The idea is good, sort of, but like most things on paper its doesn't translate all that well to reality.
Also, no hud bug still exists. If I forget in the heat of battle to overide before i shutdown, I have still been starting up without HUD.

Or remap your OVERRIDE button.

Genius, I know.

I swear I heard Betty say "shutdown overridden" when I alphaed after hitting O

You did hear her, just dropped with my Hunch 4P and alpha'd all of my ml's until I got the verbal warning, hit O and got the verbal confirmation that I had overridden shutdown, then I started taking internal damage until my heat dropped below 100%.

Noticed some problems with the new screens in some mechs. Some have same readout on multiple monitors. Some have 2 or more displays overlayed on each other (Auto Detect, Ammo, Armor)

I noticed this too. I think it's to give the screens something other than "Auto detect No Signal."

It will be nice to have the HUD elements placed on those screens. I'll be happily eager to turn off every hud element except my reticle. Speaking of which, PGI can we have the target reticles and the rest of the HUD on separate deactivation keys?

I know this is unlikely...

But you aren't somehow hitting F11 while holding down the right Shift key are you? Because that disables the HUD, and acts exactly like you described.

No idea how i should hit it and - yes the Effect looks the same - i can remake it with this button but when i have it without me pushing F11 i cant repair it by hitting that ShiftF11 button ... :P

very useless, could use there time better like fixing the net code
implanting the new promised score board , new map, weapon balance, who dose actually care about a powering up/down sequence that you will see each match and get board really fast
what a wast of dev time

actually no I doubt it took much to animate what 4-5 seconds of startup which adds alot to the immersive aspect of the game

I have no idea why there isn't the B*tchin Betty warning "Heat level critical. Shutdown sequence initiated" from past MW games. To me it's difficult to know when I need to override shutdown when I don't if the auto shutdown has been activated.

Maybe that's coming I dunno.

There is, but if your build is one of those high alpha setups, you'll never get it because you generate so much heat that you blow past the warning and the overheat line in the same shot.

This is the best thing ever and you are not a real Mechwarrior fan if you don't appreciate it.

I don't drive hot builds and I hardly ever alpha

I hear her say "Heat level Critical" but my mech isn't about to shut down then. It doesn't shutdown until 100% correct? So even at "Heat Level Critical" I'm safe from shutting down if I stop shooting.

I don't know why I've had a few issue with the override system. To me it should be exactly like the MW2 system. You are fine up to 95% then your mech will auto shutdown in 4 seconds unless you override. And the override stays in effect until you drop below 95% again. And if this is how it is indeed working in MWO then it's not coming across in game and we need some more audio or visual feedback.

Or maybe I'm stupid. But I've been playing MW games for 16 years. I understand heat.

I just love it! That simple "all systems nominal" makes me fly back to 1996. Thank you, dear devs!

HI,

though it is nice, it is useless at this time:

1.
A PvP like MWO needs more info from the beginning than an animation.
The time could have been invested in some info-Screen of ONLY the mechs (and Chasisi and Weapon information) of them!
And ONLY your team (who cares and who KNOWS who the enemy is and how many?)

2.
Second the ingame info for you team mates (Health % and name).

3.1
An in game method of command giving for the (only) Command-Moduled-Mechs. (like hold "ANY-Key" and clock on the enemy to mark as first Attack etc...
3.2
Giving (ONLY) the Command-Mech some screen like MW2 3D-Command-Screen ability ... (my favorite) ):>

4.1
Changing the Zoom Button on Maus-Wheel.
4.2
Klick on Wheel-button activates Zoom-Module

But putting an animation in the beginning, when a commande does not know WHAT in the vast universe his squod has, to make a plan A abd B ......very bad idea in starting a fight ....

love the startup sequence. Betty's voice seems to have a really low volume level in only the startup sequence. Is there any way I can turn it up?

I remapped O and P to 1 and 2.

You can do it in the settings.

Works like a charm.

There needs to be some visual and audio indicator that tells you when your heat override is engaged. As it is, I can't count 5 seconds in the heat of battle to determine whether my override is still active or if my next shot is going to cause me to shutdown.

To everyone who is bitching about how this takes away from their "play time" please shut up, you're making a fool out of yourself.

It happens in the ten seconds before the match starts, you've lost nothing.
Pay attention before you randomly *****.

give me a switch to turn this damn thing off, it is distracting , it makes the game feel like third person, which I will not play..ever, and the animation for over heat shutdown start up slows down the reaction time of the game. making it once again unplayable.
Hate it ...Hate it...Hate it...
